Goated b8 mechanic using your advice for all my audi b8 needs thanks man. I super appreciate your knowledge and insights without the BS, straight to the point unlike some forums we could mention. Owning a B8 on a budget requires alot of Diy work but is super worth it if you have proper instructions and guidance!
Technically your wastegate does not let out the boost, that's the Diverter Valve. Boost pressure is released out of the charge pipe intake via the DV and back into the intake stream, post MAF. A Wastegate opens the flap to allow exhaust gases to bypass the turbo's turbine so it will spin less. This will prevent the turbo from building further air pressure in the intake stream, aka boost. Existing boost doesn't go anywhere unless the DV opens and/or the engine consumes it.
Hey bro, I'm getting the error P2261 - Turbo Boost Pressure Not detected Mechanical. I've an upgraded K04 Hybrid with Turbosmart DV. If I accelerate my car, the car flutters (Releases boost) and then gets the boost back but if I flood (pedal to the metal) then boost spikes to the desired pressure. Should this N75 valve cause the above mentioned problem?? If not should I be adjusting the actuator rod.
I almost thumbs downed this for that comment about more cylinders, lol. The gen 3 2.0t ea888 w/is38 can take out plenty of V8's, just search yt. Plus, once you go up in cylinders the price of the car jumps up significantly.
hey man, noticed my n75 valve was broken the same way but it wasn’t throwing any codes. what exactly happens when that nipple is broken? laggy boost? no boost at all? thanks to any reply love ur content
I have a question. Can you give any helpful information on replacing N75 on a transverse 2.0 tfsi. Ea888.1. 2010 Audi TT QUATTRO? I cant get to it. Stage 3. K04 11 psi boost max. Then gate is opening. Tune is requesting 20-22 psi.
Yup its a 4mm Hex bolt. Usually nice n rusty too. Dude - you always seem like you are pissed off. Chill, relax, we are all just listening and watching and trying to take in your knowledge. Love what you do, keep doing you but be happy man. 👍❤😎
Don't use it. Tune the car via ECU map changes. These are torque driven ECUs. By tricking it, it will cause the ECU to make other changes you don't want and you'll fight that battle over and over.
The common failure is on the back of the turbo and is the wastegate flap. Turbo has to be removed to properly fix it. There are other workarounds like shimming the wastegate flap. It will buy you some more time before the condition occurs again.
You know Neptune, I be checking ya videos out and can't lie you know ya Audi's,not to mention your entertaining but if you stopped being like well fu-- it when you cant undo something or totally disregard it and rip it off or something, you'd have way more subscribers..That's not finding fault in you or hating it's merely an observation and advice from man to man.Just look at it a sec,if people watching vids to fix their car apparently they aren't equipped with the knowledge to handle it themselves so their seeking info, but when you do that then you leave people stuck sometimes because you never go back to it you just carry on.NOW THE PEOPLE LOOKING LIKE WTF DO I DO KNOW..LOL..YA FEEL ME THOU??Get it together homie.. Thank me later,IRON SHARPENS IRON..
No disrespect intended, but I'm not sure what your beef is exactly (maybe some other vids you mentioned in the first line?) but in these latest ones he had a belt break and take out his N75 (and other things), so he's showing the various jobs he's undertaking to fix the broken belt damages. Each short video tackles another repair. It's pretty complete to me. I don't think it was designed as an "end-to-end replace your N75" video, he's just fixing broken stuff as he comes across it. I quite enjoy the content and rouge style, keep up the good work NT.
It will throw a code but not related to this part. So you won't know if it's its fault or not, better to just change it because it's cheap. I am going to do this next days.
Hey bud I have a 09 a4 quattro, and the gas gage keeps saying lower and lower it started at 350 miles till empty and now it down to 320 till empty, any thoughts

THAT PART
LOL, I love that you left in the torx fumbles
My guy literally has a video for everything 2.0 related. Naptown wherever you need- i gotchyu
Nice hat too. Very Miami
Would a faulty N75 cause high Negitive long term fuel trims?

New subscriber... thank you for all the videos well explained ..

hey man, noticed my n75 valve was broken the same way but it wasn’t throwing any codes. what exactly happens when that nipple is broken? laggy boost? no boost at all? thanks to any reply love ur content
Would this affect the mass air flow sensor??
Love the squirt gun t shirt
Another good one

I am getting p0299 code. No boost leaks. Wastegate spring is set at 11psi. So N75 isn't working correctly
Ty you good work hope this works because it’s saying it’s underboost

"Brand New Gently Used"
I have the 1.8 tsi bzb engine the n75 is always at 2% it is normal currently it has a huge loss of power and cylinder failure
Can you do a video on how to install AEM boost controller on a 2.0t? I was trying to see the location...if it goes between the sensor and the WG?

Hi, whats the part number n75? A4 b8 2.0 tfsi
is this the part that gives these the known wastegate issues ? if so, i’m gonna replace it for preventative measures lol
These rarely go bad on 2009+ but 2005.5-2008 2.0t this is common to go bad

I have a code p0234 on my 07 A4 and I’m not sure if it’s the turbo
I wish i knew this a long time ago some con artist mechanic played me off 1100 saying he rebuild my turbo but it was this mechanism the whole time
Are you sure it wasn't the wastegate flap on the back of the turbo? They fail very commonly on these stock turbos.
Sucks cuz it's only $400 with tax for the entire new turbo setup...

Whats normally error which require to change n75
P0299
Will this throw a code if it’s bad
