Forester Hatch won't open? Handle sticks?

- My daughters Forester hatch barely opened anymore and the only way to get in the back was to reach over the seat. In this video I take the hatch apart to see what's wrong and discover it can be fixed fairly easily for free!

I don't remember for sure, sorry.
Yes, there is a way - first take off the little round plastic cover (flathead screwdriver works) located above the hatch handle. Then take your finger and play around with the spring inside until another person on the outside can open it. Good Luck!
IfI took that much effort to fix this problem, I think I would try to replace the pivot pin.

One neg point is how incredibly high your short music blimps are. It turns me off...

@@3rdstallgarage I think it's the relative change in volume. The intro isn't loud, but the jump in volume can be a shock to some. Talking voice to guitar riff

Oh man...that was a long time ago. I vaguely remember climbing inside the back of the car and accessing it through taking plastic panels off...but can't remember for sure.
That is my issue. Mine is shut an need to pop it to start working on it .
