@@clockworkNate .... WHY ON EARTH WOULD ANYONE WANT TO P2ONLINE AND SECOND..... PC's are simply better nowadays. If sony are going to release all of their games on PC, why even bother on a closed platform? Honestly As a PS3/Vita user, I laughed at the PS4 for having no exclusives that I wanted.

I was a relatively popular yet cringey game creator on LBP (Yuridude4 just incase any of you recognise me) and hearing this makes me sadder than ever before. Sackboy a big adventure is a bunch of crap. It’s supposed to be a sandbox, not a platformer. R.I.P Little Big Planet. You will not be forgotten.
it feels surreal bcus i was literally talking to my friends about how community levels have kept me playing lbp still, and then i found out last night that i can’t do that anymore, that’s crazy. idk how to feel :(

It’s simply unfortunate that you don’t know what you take for granted until it’s gone. That is so sad, this game and its online community was my whole life when I was a tween. About a year ago my boyfriend and I tried lbp 3 for the first time. I hadn't played since lbp 2 came out. We went online, found my old user and played all the levels I made and published as a kid. I'm glad we got the chance to do that before it was too late, it was so nostalgic and hilarious and gave my boyfriend a chance to meet the child I used to be. I wish I could have done it again in 15 years with my future kids. But everything comes to an end. RIP LBP, you will always have a special place in my heart ❤

i wish i could get my ps3 up and runnin so i could go through the lbp 1 intro again with the old narrator. left bank two is so nostalgic. everytime i listen to that or atlas by battles, i get memories of playing story mode with my dad. i played it my whole childhood growing up with it from when i was 4 till after i grew up and he stopped playing. been playing the franchise since 08 and when i was 3 i used to call it the “teddy bear game” and would have my dad turn it on for me. i absolutely loved playing it with him and we shared countless memories playing the og levels. id give everything to experience that feeling of freedom and fun i spent with my dad. then when lbp2 came out i made countless more friends and memories along the way, playing multiple levels. whether it was racing, war roleplay, or the fun rpgs where id have gfs💀then the ps4 came out and i finally hopped on lbp3 and picked up where i left off playing the hell out of it again and even met one of my friends of the time, “troyhayes1-_or 2”. then covid hit and around 2020 i played even more of it until servers kept getting randomly shut down and i consistently tried playing online when they’d get back to working. i had fun again for a while. and now we’re at the final stage… Goodbye. saying goodbye to our childhood will never be easy, and we all would give everything to get those memories back and experience them again. however, we cannot do that and that’s the sad truth. so we stand here now, wondering what to do next. unfortunately there may never be a game like LBP or even a LBP4. since we can never get that back, we should be glad that it happened at all. thank you for the many beautiful memories with my dad and my entire childhood indoors with my own imaginative dreamscape. Goodbye Little Big Planet 🙏
This game was my forefront of nostalgic memories as a kid, 2-3 was almost like my hometown, before Roblox was mainstream and it was still the wild west of the internet. It's the first I've ever grieved a game and I don't think I'm alone in that, I still remember so many of the people I talked too with my shitty bluetooth earpeice. Except for the revival servers akin to Toontown or Club Penguin... This is goodbye gang. Greatful for the wonderful memories we did get to have. ♥️
Hey, I just wanted to inform you about the LBP3 PS4 servers. They've been shut down INDEFINITELY, not PERMANENTLY. If it were shut down PERMANENTLY (Like it was with LBP PS3 servers), the Official LBP Twitter account would have included that information in its tweet, which didn't happen. The issue is more complicated than it seemed, estimated time for patching it is unknown. we are working hard on bringing it back online. Stay Tuned.
Ah yes, because "We obviously share today's news with very heavy hearts" is definitely the kind of language they'd use if the shutdown wasn't permanent.
Ik I’m 5 months late but it was pretty fun playing all the online games my childhood it’s heartbreaking to see that it’s gone forever but over 10mil ppl called and was not happy when this happened but yeah rip little big planet and all the awesome levels.
(I know it's a lot to read but I promise it's IMPORTANT and very good news, so for everyone seeing this, PLEASE READ the next part, because I need this message to reach as many people as possible to spread the word.) Attention all LBP players, you don't know me. I know that you're sad. I know that you're all angry, or upset and that you feel let down by Sumo and Sony for not protecting the community, which is why we, the players took it into our own hands to do so. I know you feel like you've now lost your home away from home, am I right? Believe me, I know. For a long time, LBP was also my home away from home. I met almost all of my closest friends there. I've found love there. I've found my life's true calling there in the form of making music, and I started getting into graphic design. However, I have incredible news to bring to you all. We have finally found and identified the modder responsible. Now for those who are lost and haven't heard the details of the matter, let's go over what we do know. The person behind it was a user named "Chilly-bath95". That same person is more known by other PSN usernames, such as his recent account "Senestal", and he is most known by his OG LBP2 account, "Eragoy". He also has many other accounts, but that's irrelevant right now. Recently, we have acquired his real name (which is Jonah), his information, his address, and many other incriminating pieces of evidence against him, and I need you all to just trust me on this, and spread the word about him wherever you can, so that we can protect the remnants of the community, the things and people we hold very dear to our hearts, from him, and people like him. The power of the LittleBigPlanet community has and always WILL be that we have power and strength in numbers, and strength in our unity as a community. Right now, we need to display that strength and show him and anyone else who threatens the safety of both the remaining private servers and the community no mercy, we must show them that we are NOT afraid of them, and show them that they will not prevail in breaking us down, because these kinds of people take delight in causing misery to others and having control and power. By simply being sad, we're giving awful people like that the very thing they desire. We need to instead rise, and display that strength in unity against people who target the servers like Jonah. Listen, guys, it's up to us. If we don't stand up to him and do something about him and people LIKE him, NO ONE will and then people like him will think they can act with impunity and do what they want with no legal consequences. But rest assured, we can now rejoice, my fellow LittleBigPlanetians, fellow Sackboys, and Sackgirls, the hunt for the person responsible for the false PSN ban exploits is over. This is it we've found the real-life Negativitron. Evil now has a face and a name. And that name is Jonah Easterling. And don't fret, his face will be revealed too. Until next time, folks. 👌🏻👌🏻👍🏻
I really hope this is just some very huge sick joke. You've doxxed and potentially put chilly-bath95's life in danger, and you encourage others to do the same? Just because this person caused an entire video game's server to shut down which would've happened sooner, you have to dox over that? Chilly bath was just a troll, you're the evil one here, you sicko.
Its crazy that 15 years of memories are gone just like that. LittleBigPlanet was a huge part of my childhood, and I wouldn't be the same person today without it. I made a lot of friends and memories, it sucks to see it all gone. There are a lot of levels I loved that I'll never get to play again. I hope Sony doesn't abandon the franchise now, it still has a lot of potential, especially since it seems to be gaining popularity again. I wonder how things would've turned out if they went the free-to-play route. LBP Hub had a lot of potential, it was pretty ahead of it's time. LittleBigPlanet in general was ahead of it's time. I remember playing a really well made Ao Oni game which made me horrified along with the several SCP ones. I remember playing the really good undertale games where you could fight against Undyne and Sans which I was horrible at. Along with the several free avatars which to wear u needed several DLCS but they looked so good... I remember getting the Sonic DLC. I was a huge FNAF , PVZ and UNDERTALE fan back then. @@kilnfo A basic PC these days are good enough to enjoy more than enough. A basic valve steam deck for 554 is good enough, even PC's that are worth less are still great, what else is a raspberry pi? Low-Mid range PC's got their uses and can provide still a good gaming experience.
PC's have the case of upfront costs, Consoles are simply too expensive nowadays. Charging for online infinitely makes the consoles more expensive vs. your game library. Also if games are getting more bloated and bigger nowadays... You will inevitably spend 300+ on the online crap if you are Playstation or Xbox compared to having simply games being spent. PC's aren't meant to be disposed of after 3 or the latest or greatest games.
PC's are as expensive as you make them. Also indie-games are pretty good on PC unlike the consoles. Need a controller? Any controller will do, X-Input or DirectInput, maybe steam's own input converting system replacing it as well. Being below 500 is not bad at all, due to a PC can do more than one thing well. Imagine paying 70 or more dollars for one gamepad that is first party when you can look for deals for xbox 360 official controllers for less or great replacement xbox 360 gamepads.
Also emulation on the PC makes playing games even more affordable.

Finally someone who gets it
This is PR talk, it's permeant.
wait, do you work for sony/sumo?
Ah yes, because "We obviously share today's news with very heavy hearts" is definitely the kind of language they'd use if the shutdown wasn't permanent.
Ik I’m 5 months late but it was pretty fun playing all the online games my childhood it’s heartbreaking to see that it’s gone forever but over 10mil ppl called and was not happy when this happened but yeah rip little big planet and all the awesome levels.
(I know it's a lot to read but I promise it's IMPORTANT and very good news, so for everyone seeing this, PLEASE READ the next part, because I need this message to reach as many people as possible to spread the word.)
Attention all LBP players, you don't know me.
Epic! 👏
Hope he gets his soul completely doxxed.
Theres still nothing quite like it.
I... What?
LBP is.. its over??? Its really over????
NO, WHAT??? WHAT THE FUCK DUDE.
NO NO NO MY CHILDHOOD IS GONE FOR GOOD????
THIS ISNT FAIR MAN WHAT THE FUCK
I DON'T HAVE WORDS FOR THIS SHIT THIS IS THE WORST NEWS TO GET :((
I SHOULDNT HAVE TO USE FAN SERVERS TO JUST ENJOY THIS GAME.
WHY SONY??? WHY DO YOU KEEP LETTING GOOD THINGS DIE???? IM.
UGHGHHHHHH
The original LBP was my first time playing a game online and the memories created from it will always stick with me. R.I.P LittleBigPlanet, gone but will never be forgoten.
A lame and disapointing ending tbh
This is such a bummer. I was without a playstation for several years, and one of the 1st things I did when I got my PS5 is download LBP3 to jump on and play some community levels. I was disappointed when I logged in to see the servers were down and waited a few days and tried again to only see the same message. When I did a Google search originally, it was just a few days after they announced the shutdown.
I'm really disappointed to see one of the most promising franchises from the PS3 era was so neglected by Sony. I do hope they show some love to Sackboy and get this franchise rolling again.

Glad I could archive my best memories of my little brother and I playing our favourite LBP worlds together. I’ll always treasure those memories. Rest well, Sackboy. Thank you.
