Today I went out to a few different roadside ditch spots in Arizona to try to catch fish. I had pretty quick success and ended on an awesome note. These ditches may be small but they can be home to some big fish!

Good seeing ya in person just a bit ago man. Good luck. that spot you were at has some huge ones. But definitely go down west about a half a mile down the canal, you wont regret it theres tons of fish there. Saw an albino looking catfish or something yesterday there i got a bite from it but didnt take.

Good to see some decent sized fish in there now. I was there last summer and couldn’t spot anything but thousands of fingerling-sized tilapia 😅
I went again in the video dropping on Saturday this week, water was super low and tons of tilapia but carp were hiding 😢

“Tilapia can be finicky to say the least”…truest statement made about tilapia, quite possibly one of the most frustrating fish around.
For real. Some days they can be chasing everything other days they don’t want to touch food if you put it in their mouths 😂😂
@@FishingWithPorter they’re exactly the same here in Queensland Australia. Drop a lure or bait straight in front of their nose, they look at it and ignore it or swim off. I gave up chasing them now, only get them as bycatch lol
@@lordoffishtown4455 the first time I targeted them it took me like 4 hours to get one. And there would be days I was carp fishing and would catch like 15-20 and be soooooo sick of it 😂😂 I hate tilapia now lol.

It’s kind of a give a man a fish teach a man to fish type of situations here. What’s your reasoning for using such light line?
I have a few different reasons, for me I really like the challenge of being able to land big Fish on light line, it’s much more exciting when you truly have to battle the fish in a tug-of-war instead of just reeling it in on like 50 pound line no fight. There’s also some benefits as well though like carp can see the line and will often times not bite because they see heavy line. Light line always gets better bites for me and it’s just more fun when you get the hang of it 🤙

I’m not a very big fish eater. The one time I tried fried catfish that I caught it was pretty good but I pretty much just eat chicken as far as meat goes haha
