This is a very clear presentation of how the Ohme system and app works. No annoying mannerisms from the presenter. Well done!

i have a 9.8 kw electric shower and 80/60A main fuse at the meter, do i need any additional switches etc to stop things tripping etc?

Hi! If you're in the UK, an EV chargepoint installer will perform a supply adequacy assessment prior to install and this will take account of other appliances in your home. For an 80A fuse, a 9.8kW shower uses 42A, leaving only 38A leftover for the charger and all other connected load. This would lead to temporary overload of the fuse, however, many installers will apply a diversity factor, recognising that most people do not use the shower for long enough to have much effect.
Generally, you cannot install a 32A charger with a 60A incoming fuse. Often, installers will install a 32A device with an 80A incomer. But this does depend on what else is in the property.
If you do have a 60A fuse, in most cases your DNO can upgrade you to 80A with minimal effort. Some DNOs do not charge for this service.
      Hope this helps! Thanks, Ohme

Can you use it if you have two EVs?
Any chance it could be made compatible with excess Solar charging?

I was here looking for the two EV car answer. Regarding solar, it does work with IFTTT, which should enable it to work with excess solar, and not send it back to the grid.

Shame they don't work correctly with the new MG ZS EV - stops charging randomly during the night!

I was excited until you said it needs an earth rod for TN-C-S arrangements, shame :(
