Cheap and good are matching with those west hunter scopes, I have 4-16x44ffp(same as video) and 6-24x50ffp, both are just excellent scopes, it's a joy to whack those 1000+ priced scopes with them. 😉 Those zero markers are a minus, but cheap solution to do a mask from tape and use paint marker brush, I used silver color marker.
Nice review and info! I'm buying their 6-24 for my brother to put on his .270. He just moved to a new house and made his own long skinny airplane landing strip that is 4 acres planted with rye for the deer. It's a good 400+ yards long. His 3-9 wasn't cutting it. He's old and this should help his old eyes a bit. For my rimfire I use an Element Helix that is nice.
If you using a 270 I would suggest a Bushnell Emgage series . The glass is a little better than this west hunter. It's not FFP but Scf will be just fine .
@@liquidsteel This is probably true. But my brother normally uses trash scopes. NcStar, Walmart Tasco & Simmons, Centerpoint, etc. He'll love the Westhunter, and it's cheap :) I'm really hoping it's a true 24 power. CVLIfe 6-24 seems to be only 16-18 power. I've been trying out an Element Helix FFP and it's cross hairs are almost too fine for my old eyes, even at full power. If the Westhunter are thicker, I may keep it for me and give him the Element.
The WestHunter (I could never personally recommend WestHunter brand as well as Monstrum Tactical due to below average glass and wandering zero and tracking is simply not reliable and extremely poor BS warranty and support) and Vortex Diamondback Tactical shouldn't even be considered ED glass. They're well below average. The Bushnell Engage 6-24x50 most definitely has way better glass compared to the Vortex Diamondback Tactical and WestHunter when compared on their highest magnification.
IM Glad some of you like your westhunter scopes, mine is very milky looking especially on bright days, and my elevation is very limited to say the least, i tried getting a refund within the warranty period but after 2 emails they ghosted me .....this company is a joke.
** UPDATE: westhunter in fact did honor my warranty (finally) ..... the new scope, albeit, same name, magnification, and boxing is a completely different scope, its clear and the paralax adjustment gets me down to about 10 yards where as before my closest shot was clear at about 20 to 25 yards, not a huge issue for powder burners but for an air gunner like myself im happier with the closer range capabilities, the elevation issue is still bad but at this point i just shimmed the back scope ring with a few layers of painters tape, thank you westhunter, i apologize.
👋🏾sup bruh thank you for sharing your thoughts about this scope. I haven’t mounted mine yet but I have a new gun that I just released that I am going to mount this scope on my brotha 👊🏾😎
Unfortunately not many scopes have the up and down marking on the side of the turrets. Could you pop a rubber ring over the ocular focus dial to see if that help prevent it dialling back over?
Please tell people who know. I have a vpo 237 caliber 366 Magnum. In joules, like 308, I want to take 4-16, will the lens withstand 50?)))) And it’s also interesting that there is no screw there, as on 4-16 44, this somehow affects its holding of the stp. Maybe with a screw it will be stronger ??? But a pancake in a 44 lens will have a slightly worse view than in 50. Therefore, I think to take a 50 lens.
Yea if your looking for something a little stout . This should work but I don't how it will perform against a 50 BMG. ASK SOME GUYS on here if they have it mounted on a Break Barrel Magnum Air rifle. If it can handle that, it will Easily handle a 50 cal. Magnum air Rifles will destroy even some of the most expensive scopes . That's why air gunners look for air gun rated scopes. It's total Hell on them especially spring piston guns. . Cheers.

@@onuronder8261 if you want a good scope try getting a Hawke. It's airgun BREAK Barrel proof. Very tuff scope. If that's a little out your budget check out the BSA OUTLOOK series of scopes. They have been revamped and supposedly much better quality.
@@liquidsteel any idea if the fast focus eyepiece wiggles and if so if the reticle moves with it? They often do if it wiggles even the slightest. Have this problem on a crossfire currently.
My god your petty, you don't see dots when your out hunting at night and would have difficulty fiddling with a locking ring on the eye peace. Perhaps you should request a night light be fitted 😂😂😂
Too bad your scope is not zeroed correctly, and you overrated the way your rifle shot. I think you confirmed that the scope isn't zeroed by all of the misses. Unfortunately, one cannot use your video to evaluate this scope. I do hope that your next video goes better. I am thinking this scope is better than it looked in this video the majority of the people that reviewed this scope think so.
The rifle shoots perfectly. The ammo I used is not the usual ammo I also mentioned the wind was blowing pretty good and chNging directions.. But you buy your own and check for yourself thank you.

Exactly what I did put my own reference marks on with engraving pen 👍

The WestHunter 6-24x50 has very terrible image quality on high magnification. Their 4-16x would be a little clearer but still has below average glass.

Secondo voi può essere montata su un calibro 223?

Does it still shooting well, Albert? I have a broken "firewolf 10-40x56" just after 12 308 shots in a light rifle (a savage Axis 2)
