next one i do ,was thinking of assembling gearbox with out the xmas tree and gearbox shim, putting 2 bits of solder opposite each other on the 1st gear and bolting down the endplate, then you can measure solder and work out what shim you need
Hey Rob - really love the vids, but I wonder if it's just me who misses your old intro? Never grew tired of it - great track and filming. Keep up the good work, it's keeping me sane whilst stuck indoors!
I got my bgm big engine mounts in te post a couple days ago, waiting on gasket set, the bench is cleared. Now i just have to take engine out... I have the “mm “66mm small block barrel to go on. Little thin on the walls but no “replacement for displacement!”:)
I always go with the gp type selector arm with the 6mm threaded stud done by MB, removes all slop and gets rid of that damm circlip for quick engine removal 😉
It definitely needs dowels. If in shimming the gearbox and the endplate needs to come out a few times you can leave them out but they are normally peened into the endplate.

I got told off for the old intro but I am going to make a similar one very soon!

Good ones are actualy getting hard to find. I have a couple I converted a few years ago in reserve though and have them on both my scooters.
Kickback Garage have plenty of the original type laying around and all my engines got the gp arm with a two spare , well u never know 😂
When will you fit the MB crown wheel? Is it the 46 teeth type? Which diameter does it have?
Rob when you fit the end plate does it need dowels or is that just for extraction?

@@kickbackgarage yes thanks it’s just I didn’t see them in your video I have put them in mine
Does anyone know if the stratos clutch housings are any good?
