Rear tail light panel incorrect. Also, you'll notice the fender tag denotes body color is B5, Dodge "Bright Blue Poly" or commonly known as "B5 Blue", not TX9 Black. Nice car, although I'm more of an E-body guy myself.
U code means it was originally a 440 4 BBL car also. No rear aluminum panel and a 69 R/T emblem between the tail lights.

That's a 69 tail, the 70 had the narrow blackout and callout said Charger R/T
Actually 1969 and 1970 used the same lights, but in 1970 they replaced the crome trim around the individual lamps with a full surround trim piece. These are very hard to find and extremely expensive if they are in any kind of decent shape.
+wizerulz the 70 tail light has a fed mandated reflector in the lens and are slightly different from the 69.
Not until 01/1970. Production started 08/69 - those have the 69 style lights. But, yes, wrong chrome trim for 70. Gas filler tube should not be body color. XS29 is great as it's an R/T. The 5th digit R for HEMI - not mentioned & vid not clear enough to tell. Not original engine block? Kinda hinted at?? Nice car! Mine is yellow - but 440.

The AM / 8 Track was a carryover with thumbwheels & is correct. Should be code R22 on the fendertag (too bad the vid isn't clear enough to tell).

Beautiful. I would hope that it has a bit more than 600 hp if it has some extras. The original 426 while being advertised as only having 425 hp, that was 425hp at only about 3-3,500 rpm. The actual hp of the original 426’s was said to be a little over 600hp
Horseshit......net horsepower of the 426 is only 350 at 5200 rpm.....25 less than a 2022 5.7 at 375 NET......stop talking about stuff you know nothing about kid

I just got my 70 charger 6 months ago
I owned one of these. This one is not original hemi car because of the U engine code. I had a original 1970 Chargers R/T that has the 426 hemi and 4 speed. r engine code. It was a torque beast. Sold it for a factory 1970 Cuda 44-6 loaded options. The charger was nice but the Cuda did corners better and drove better. And the 440-6 with a 4.56 gear oh baby.

Tony, as nit picky as you are, I can go one better. It would look nice under the hood if the washer fluid reservoir was full. It would also present well if the parking lights were on. I could never afford a car like this, but I can dang well appreciate it.

R/T in 1970 got you a 440 four barrel standard with 440- 6 barrel or 426 Hemi optional. 375, 390 or 425 horse power.

The 1970 models had the aluminum trim panel on the taillight panel. While this car is beautiful, it is not factory correct with those taillights, R/T emblem and lack of aluminum trim.

+Calvin Otten Actually if you check closely it is the proper tail panel it does have the chrome bezel that goes all the way around it just has improper rear badging (which honestly I prefer the R/T badge rather then the Charger R/T badge)
I'll trade you my '93 Ford Ranger (it does NOT have a Hemi) for it straight up......but, the interior lights work and the belts are tight...
