It has been my childhood dream. And no I would not want to ruin a car like the one in this video. Just find one that somebody has already converted to a General Lee. And then I would add my own little touches to it to personalize it for me.

But when I see American car like that I have weird sensations all over my body, I'm getting excited just from watching video and I want to scream in your American face - what the hell happened to your car industry???!!!??? 50 years ago you were buiding pieces of art and after those 50 years you are building such a crap.... If I have to list 5 or 10 favourite American cars they probably all were built between 1967 and 1972.
