The video was re-uploaded to fix a few minor mistakes. The changes include:
1:05 original video incorrectly stated they gained half the atk of the equipped monster, changed to say full amount.
2:56 - 3:19 original video made a mention to them gaining half atk, so it was rewrote to something else.
6:39 added the correct Rafflesia, as well as changed the lines slightly to better reflect what's being talked about.
9:01 corrected the audio portion incorrectly stating Chimera's atk and def in the original video.

Alot of them just don't translate over well because they're designed for the anime where everything is scripted. You have your climactic moments when you get just the card you need at the 11th hour to get out of a hyper specific situation but that doesn't often work as well irl. No one is going to use hyper specific thing when generic staple is just objectively better.

Fun fact, if the OG Cyberdark monster had the anime effect of being able to equip level 4 dragons from either grave, they would have been a menace back in the day. Not only due to their attack being around 2.8k for a normal summon, but also many level 4 dragons had sent to grave effects back in the day.

Though then again, they could've just fixed that by making Infernal Dragon a lvl 3, that would've been a fair compromise (well, in that case I'd also have liked for Dragons to get their own Pyramid Turtle, but much worse as it'd only search for 0 DEF to not make Zombies useless. It would have 0 DEF itself as well of course. Would really tie together the 2 Dragons Zane used).

What's worse is that cyberdarkness isn't once per turn either

Either remove the locks from the cards (cydras have this problem too) or let the fusions equip any number of machines and dragons from the GY to themselves on summon, rather than just one. If you're gonna crumple so easily to Ash Blossom you might as well get a payoff that's worth it if you don't get interrupted, like Cydras do with a near-guaranteed OTK with the Chimeratechs and Power Bond. Or just unban Verte lmao but we all know that card is a problem even if not as much as Halq was.

  • @windmirror7083

Currently my only issues with the archetype is that
    1) Chimera doesn't allow you to also pitch a S/T from field to search. This allow Realm not to clog up space for an Equip centered deck. It would also allow another way to trigger Claw/Cannon/Attachment Cybern
    2) Invasion only allows you to destroy your opponent's cards. Another way it could have allowed you to trigger Claw/Cannon/Cyben...or get a card off the field taking up space and outlived its usefulness. Would also have been nice if both effects weren't mutually exclusive
I would have also loved if Chimera could search Polymerization (or fusion spell) in addition to Power Bond

    • @thatdrummeroz654
      @thatdrummeroz654 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Highly agree.
Chimera could have definitely helped the mechanic if its effect were to send s/t instead of discarding.
Combining its effect with Machina Overdrive comes in handy, but at that point there's not much the deck offers other than linear game play.
I'm still addicted to this archetype got some reason.
Deck needs more gas than searchers.
Red-Eyes Full Metal seems like fun to mess with.
Both Red-Eyes and Cyberdarks sit on potential that have hard times synergistically stand alone and with other archetypes.
Hopefully we can get some upgrades like Sacred Beasts, Yubel, and Armed Dragon but for Cyberdarks.
I'd almost have better luck w Cyber Laser and Barrier Dragon.

Cyberdark can be used as a quite strong engine, since they provide a quite efficient draw/fodder-engine.
3 Claw, 2 Cannon, 1 of either Edge, Keel or Horn, 3 Realm and optionally 1 of the field spell.
Since the draw-effect of Cannon while equipped isn't once per turn, and works when sent for cost, you can use the field spell and realm to normal summon the lvl4 multiple times, netting you 3 draws and a decent amount of + in card advantage.

Cyberdarkness dragon and cyberdark end dragon pairs really good with a bamboo sword engine with maybe a playset of armory call or what the trap version of hidden armory was. Cyberdarkness dragon can recycle the cursed bbs after it uses its omni negate and Cyberdark end dragon can attack like 2 or 3 times turn 2. Then on top of all that to make it more consistent you can use the newest retrain of fusion deployment to cheat out cyber end dragon and use the cyber dark combo to dump Cyberdark dragon. Then you can power bond and overload fusion so you can have 2 Cyberdark end dragons either turn 1 or 2. Of course that's if you top deck it with the combo pieces of the cyberdarks, but boy it's really cool when you have two of them out

  • @vuthuhang5108

Well, in my opinion, it is not that bad. I usually play this deck with Endymion and Invoked (you can think it is ridiculous, but believe me, it works pretty well), since it can provide two extra negates. However it is still hard to avoid Handtrap when your opponent only needs an Ash Blossom to stop you.

Wonder how they could further support this archetype, while making Cyberdark Edge/Horn/Keel further more playable?
    - A Fusion spell with a "Gunkan suship shari red" like effect that lets it be treated as a "power bond" while in the deck (so it can be searched with chimera's effect), that gives you a bonus effect if you used edge, horn or keel for the fusion summon of a monster?
    - A "Cyberdark" handtrap dragon monster you can discard from hand to do something (i don't know, that, as a quick effect, for the rest of this turn, all monsters on both GY are treated as dragon type?) and that you can banish to set "rebirth judgement" from Deck or GY to the field (and it can be activated this turn)? that way, you can use it alongside cyberdark realm to equip stuff from the opponent's GY.
    - A "Cyberdark" Spell/Trap with an okay ish enough effect that you don't mind discarding for chimera's effect that lets you set any "cyberdark" or "cyber" spell/trap from deck or GY to field? and has a good "banish this card" effect?

I tried making a cyberdark dragon deck when it first came out with two copies of the original bricks. Found them clunky and unreliable. More often than not, I would draw say two cyberdark piece, a level 5-8 dragon and 2-3 spells and be forced to set them to avoid damage or hope to draw a masked dragon to get it to work. If they had only been dragon type, they would still have been clucky but somewhat playable. Ended up scrapping the cyberdark cards and converted it into an elemental dragon deck that now uses dragon rulers to much better success.

  • @Chris-xl3jx
    @Chris-xl3jx 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

The problem I see with Cyberdark is that you need to run too many monsters to reliably have a spell/trap you can discard for chimera.
Putting in a four card set of chimera, two power bond, and cyberdark realm gives Core an extra option, but it doesn’t really increase the amount of cards you want to play right at the start.
Using the 7-card set of chimera, two power bond, cyberdark realm, cybernetic horizon, and two cyberdark claw is what can give a traditional cydra deck a significant consistency boost and makes OTK’s more frequent.

Yeah even this early in the game heavy reliance on back row was a losing strategy. They might have been able to salvage this archetype if they had made a few tweeks.
    1. Give the 3 main monsters their anime abilities of equipping level 4 or below
    2. Give the boss the ability to equip any monster with "Dragon" in its original name regardless of type

Even though Cyberdarks are awful, I pretty much exclusively used a Cyberdark deck in Duel Links for years back when the game was much slower paced then it was now and people had no idea what to expect. I earned many King Of Games with them in my years and it was a nice time overall. Unfortunately the pace of DL is now so fast that they cannot compete, but it was a nice time using all the techs and tricks that people weren't expecting from a deck as awful as Cyberdarks.

I mean just look at Jaden and aster their original heros cards aren't needed to run their new support. Only neos is needed and the spacians. Aster the only destiny hero cards that named a specific monster in his support is only two cards clock tower for dread master and and d force for plasma. Point is Konami doesn't have to make Cyber Dark support doesn't have to be tied to the old cards. They just do it to do it for no other reason.
