In the most recent update if you go to The Tunnels you can use the Obliterator and upgrade it to the Stormbringer laser mining tool which has infinite durability and +1000 to mining damage at the same 5.0 attacks per second
wish it had video sections that label when you start talking about a particular tool, otherwise im probably just going to look for a more direct source of information, i appreciate the large scale discussion but sometimes people just need to find the thing theyre looking for and focus on that :) love the video though its well detailed
I would actually put copper hoe higher as it is excellent for weeding crops for landscaping when you want full golden crops around for looks in your base. Ok you can use other single target tools or weapons but copper hoe has single targeting square which significantly reduces error of accidentally breaking adjacent golden crop you didn't want to remove.
I just started playing about a week ago and I reinforce all my stuff because once it breaks I just reinforce it and it fixes the tool at the same time!
Just curious why u didnt add the fishing rods? Sorry im new to the channel and to corekeeper and could use all the tips n tricks i can get lol thanks for the awesome videos tho
I made this during early access and back then fishing rods weren't really something that mattered. This was because fishing rods grant + fishing skill and in EA, all that fishing skill did was get you the ability to fish in a water type. And the number was really low. If you had 0 fishing and a galaxite rod you could fish anywhere. Or if you had 100 fishing and a wood rod you could fish anywhere. Now fishing score also increases speed that fish bite. So having a higher +fishing matters a bit more, so if I ever redo these tier lists (which if I do won't be for a looong time) I'll definitely include the fishing rods.
scarab mortar is at OF WALLSD1Wleast A tier if not S tier, it shreads through solarite biome, and hits A LOT of walls, wayyyy better than burnzooka (remember to reinforce it tho)
Can someone explain to me why tools / weapons of the same type are just not as good as their lower tier ? this is so strange to me coming from terraria / minecraft / valheim. This kind of breaks the whole point of progression no ?
The max level for every tool is 19. Some tools get buffed a lot when maxed out. Some get a little boost when maxed out. It's weird, like I know, that the iron pickaxe once maxed out is the best pickaxe in the game and it's the fourth pickaxe you can make in the game
I mean if you want to get technical, the copper sledgehammer has the highest +mining of all the hammers. However at the endgame point you dont need more than 2500 mining and you can get that easily, so I prefer the galaxite because of its durability.
@@agok its a bit of a soft cap. Currently at 2500 mining you can 1 shot all wall types. It will probably be a bit higher once the new walls and ore from the new biome come out, but its unlikely it will need the 5k+ you can get if you max out mining. So there's lots of wiggle room.

This needs to be redone with iron pickaxe as SS+ 😂
The shovel mod, which increases radius in each tier, should be integrated into the base game.
agreed
It was added recently yo

thats why I have the wood hoe ranked in A tier. the copper hoe does a 2x2 grid now, not single target so thats why I ranked it lower.
You should of also mention what tools have AEO and what ones increase mining skills

The cost remains the same.
I would put the Tin Hoe up to B tier for the simple fact that it allows more precision tilling with its single tile use.
but tin hoe doesnt do a single tile. its a 3x3 and as I say in the video the wooden hoe I put in A tier for this exact reason.
@DakonsMadhouse Oh snap why did I say Tin Hoe I meant Wooden Hoe. My bad. I completely missed the Wooden Hoe too. I'm gonna take a bath.

Soulseeker always sounded like a cool scythe to me instead of a pickaxe.
Hey Dakon are you planning to make an armor tier video too? I hope so! And great work as always!
oh ya. they're coming. got rings and necklaces on the pipeline also.
@@DakonsMadhouse Sweet! I'm looking forward to some more videos!
Great video 👍

Where do i get those hand drills?
fishing and locked chests are the easiest ways to get them.

isn't the octarine hammer better than the galaxite one, or am i missing something?
octarine in general is 1 step below galaxite.
@@DakonsMadhouse yeah, but the octarine sludgehammer has more miningdamage than the galaxite sludgehammer at the same upgrade

Didn't know about the 2500 cap, thanks for answering my questions 👍
