- 121 people died, and several others were injured, in a stampede during a satsang hosted by a local preacher Narayan Sakar Vishwa Hari aka ‘Bhole Baba’ in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras on Tuesday. Preliminary investigation reveals several glaring lapses in how the event was conducted. Faye speaks to former UP top cop Vikram Singh about what went wrong.

Excellent Interview! Hats off to you dear Ms Faye D'Souza and Mr Vikram Singh, a very tough, no-nonsense, and capable Cop indeed! A very tragic stampede! Things will never improve unless Politicians, Babas, and VIPs are victims of such tragic events! But they are always provided almost impregnable 'Rings of Security' to protect them on priority!
Thank you for your service Mr Singh and for this enlightening interview. He's obviously experienced, and showed the difference between a functioning bureaucracy with accountability and one which sadly has none. You don't need a conspiracy to butcher the citizens of the country when the administration is as useful as a one legged man at an ass kicking contest.
