the Black Album was produced and mixed extremely well. The drums were thundreous, the snare like a gunshot. The guitars were heavy with minimal distortion, the bass clear and thumpy. They had a new producer which helped them sculp their songs from these 6-7 minute anthems down to a 3-5 minute song which were consumed by so many more people.

Metallica is the modern day Led Zeppelin. This band is truly LEGENDARY!!!!! The hits and longevity speak volumes!!!!!! To be around and relevant for 45 plus years, I challenge any other band to measure up to that.
About those wicked and powerful pauses in the song: this is about addiction being the boss. Being the one that sets the rules for you. The addiction is speaking to you & it's telling you, " I'm your boss. I am everything. And * I'm* the one that's making the rules here." So when you hit that pause and it seems so abrupt, palpable and powerful- that is the addiction stopping everything. And saying "I'm the one who makes the rules here. Don't forget it. We go when *I* say go. And this is your reminder." Those pauses are perfect for this song.

Cup half full, never fulfilled... Bro. STRAIGHT FAAAAAAAAAACTS!!!!! I've suffered from addiction, and that was impactful brother. Love
I love you guys! You remind me of myself, when I was younger, thank you for reminding me I was there! Keep Rock Alive!! 🤘🏽🖤🔥🙌🏼 ℁
I hope y’all do go see Metallica live. The energy you cannot help but feel in every cell is just otherworldly
These young men need to go to a Metallica concert!!
The more I watch you fellas, the bigger fan of yours I become. Watching you discover this band, the breakdown of the lyrics, and appreciation for the music is phenomenal to say the least. Keep rocking guys, there's plenty more of Metallica to discover ♥️🤘♥️
Great job Gentlemen becoming my favorite Metallica channel👏🏼 This whole album’s great can’t go wrong with any track but “Wherever I may roam” and “Through the never” are a must..keep up the good work👍🏼
I saw Metallica live 5 years ago in Edmonton, best concert ever! So great to see others recognize the greatness in their music.
Congratulations boys, you have found the MONSTERS OF ROCK!!!!! It truly doesn't get any better than Metallica...........
One of my favorite metallica songs
I hope we get a metallica concert vlog from the guys one day
Always been one of my favourite Metallica songs
Every song on the black album is killer. So cool seeing you guys cover all Metallica songs. Keep the vids coming!
One of my fav Metallica songs 🔥
I love the 2x pauses soooo much on this song! Always have done since 94 when I first heard it. Also it is cool that Jason is wearing the Sad But True tee!! I also bought that tee in 94.
Finally Sad but True!!! I knew you all would love it! Another song by them is Wherever I may Roam....
You guys are the BEST. Reactions are second to NONE!!!!
I just saw you guys reacting to Metallicas sad but true. Along the same meaning is a song called Bleeding Me. Absolutely is one of their best songs. Most people dismiss the album it came from, and I like all the old stuff but I think this is a must. I never see anyone react to Bleeding Me. The guitar solo made me drive 100 mph down 35W. I hope you guys listen to it. Also I love seeing how you all talk to each other. Reminds me of all my friends.
Love watching you guys really getting into Metallica. You guys are doing great deciphering meanings.
And yes, you guys need to see them live. If you go, I promise you will have a great time! Metallica fans are the greatest!!!
And BIG thank you! I forgot how much I loved this song and even my mother was just asking about the new baby! You are all always in our prayers. Love you guys ❤❤
Listening and watching you guys talk Metal is wonderful. From Ozzy/ Randy, and Metallica, to some of the newer bands you guys are dabbling in. You are experimenting with the sounds of Metal, and we get to watch it. It’s truly awesome to see thank you❤
First time in 31 years this song made me cry hard. The lyrics and music are pure art and so true! 😭🖤
Just watching you guys sitting there nodding your heads to the riff made my day.
Man, this whole album is 🔥🔥🔥
There are five of you, two guitars, bass, drums & a vocalist and you have yourself a kicking band.
Kid Rock Sampled this riff for his song 'American Badass' which was used as 'The Undertaker' theme tune for a while in WWE.
You guys are the best..on a bad dY I dial up yer reactions and enjoy the shit outta them..thank you from an old Marine who loves rock and roll..God bless
Another great one by the best metal band on the planet!
you guys are AWESOME!!! love watching your reaction to Metallica's music!!! it reminds me of myself whenever I first heard them walking to the school bus stop on my imitation walkman!! yeah, cassette, I'm old!!!!!
the Black Album was produced and mixed extremely well. The drums were thundreous, the snare like a gunshot. The guitars were heavy with minimal distortion, the bass clear and thumpy. They had a new producer which helped them sculp their songs from these 6-7 minute anthems down to a 3-5 minute song which were consumed by so many more people.
Think this was 89 or 90. Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Gang Starr, Metallica, NWA, Public Enemy, Slayer, Soundgarden were all on the rotation in Tallahassee
I think we are all in for this one
Battery Seattle 1989
Ps. That was the last song of the night so pay attention to the energy.
Much love and respect to you guys
Studio first then live.. it will just sound like noise to them.
ANOTHER fantastic video guys!! Please don’t ever stop these.
Great reaction video guys. I appreciate you guys delving into the lyrics. I’ve been aware of the lyrics but I haven’t really thought about them so appreciate you delving into how deep they are. 11:10- Master of Puppets is a great song. I hope to see you all react more Metallica or other metal videos
Watching you guys really makes me happy. and i have the feeling your journey to become metalheads just begun haha. you feeling it!
I used to like this album but I wouldn’t be too sad if I never heard it again. The 80’s Metallica is ageless
Sad but true is one of my favorite songs from the black album. Its awesome watching a younger audience get into one if the most popular traditional metal bands that helped pave the way for other genres of rock and metal.
You guys are killing it with Metallica and the breakdown.... Please do their 2016 album and the song called "Spit out the Bone".
As off today January 8th 2024..
I will be 45 yrs old this feb,
Happily married with my beautiful loving wife with 6 kids and hv a blessful life
And i still a Metalmania fan especially Metallica!
"CREEPING DEATH" is my favourite go to song every morning on my way to work and
"SAD BUT TRUE"
is my fav song to blow up some steam and when im stress!!
Funny how the die hard Kill 'Em All crowd HATED the Black album but ya can't deny this song STILL holds up today & is a definitive CLASSIC. 🤘
I love every record they made, there are a lot of us who were there in the beginning who appreciate the evolution of this band.
@@symptomoftheuniverse4149 100% 🤘🤘
They definitely morphed over the years and those supposed fans that are too stupid to get LOAD, RELOAD and the
S & M albums as the CONCEPT albums they are is sad. To me they've only followed the Awesomeness that 70's bands did as well with concept releases. If you can't listen to those albums and HEAR the elements of rock and those Kick-Ass BLUES licks you don't get music. Some people blasted Hardwired but I love it. One of their BEST. Love your comment. 🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@derekhawkcherokeefire Right, they have never disappointed me. Their commitment to creating music and connecting to their fans is top notch.
@@symptomoftheuniverse4149 and anybody that missed Metallica S & M 2 missed this moment that blew my mind. Cliff Burton tribute played on a classical instrument 🤘🤘 th-cam.com/video/HA22_1wnj9w/w-d-xo.html
@@derekhawkcherokeefire Cliff was a trained musician, he understood theory. So, it seems right to do that. Everybody is always giving Dave all the credit, when it was Cliff who really shaped their sound.
Welcome welcome welcome to a different world of music!!! SOOO much for you to discover!!! I was around when this hit the air waves. OMG! We didn't know what we had just heard but we knew it was EPIC!!!
My favorite thing about Metallica is that the singer is also an elite tier guitarist in his own right.
Metallica is super talented. Giant fan for over 35 years. Korn is another group that you might like although their language is pretty rough. they do have a couple of popular songs that are clean. Just found you guys, keep rocking!
Gotta do “the thing that should not be live 1989” by Metallica
Yes!!
I love how you guys react to my favorite band. I first hear these guys when I was 14 back in 1985 and they instantly became my favorite band. I've seen them 7 times in concert and it has always been great! You guys you go see them. They are one of the best bands ever live. They won't disappoint!
Metallica's a band that got me into guitar growing up. Def pick up a guitar. You won't regret it.
Me too!!!!!
Me2 bro
🤘
I am so stoked. You guys are platforming with some serious bad azz tunes and bands. I'm so excited to see you guys feel the vibe
somebody buy these dudes metallica concert tickets.
I've seen Metallica live four times and they never cease to amaze. I love you guys you're too funny 🤣😂
0:01 That's how I feel about them.
Snap! Y'all right down the road from me. I love seeing y'all getting into Metallic
They need to watch no leaf clover Metallica and San Francisco symphony 1999!! Absolutely amazing!!!!
Absolutely agree! I’ve mentioned it several times. That one and Hero Of the Day, and Bleeding Me…hell just watch the whole damn show.
This is my fave metallica song of all time. Just saw them live in Detroit. So sick!
You should check out the opening track from their second album, called Fight Fire With Fire, about nuclear war. Or the title track Ride The Lightning, about a man about to die in the electric chair. Both bangers.
Listen to “Mamma Said”… it will bring you to tears!
U must watch the video from them "Wherever I May Roam" 🤘🏼🎸🎼🎧🥁
Correct!
My young friends, it’s darn near impossible to understand addiction without being a victim..LOVE your channel!!
Pantera "Cemetery Gates" & "Walk";
