Alex Holmes is Head of the Anti-Bullying Campaign at The Diana Award. He received a Diana Award in 2004 for tackling bullying in his school and community, having been bullied himself.
Under his leadership the Anti-Bullying Campaign has trained more than 16,000 Anti-Bullying Ambassadors in over 2,000 schools across the UK and Ireland since 2011. There are plans to expand the campaign into Europe.
Alex regularly works with bullied, bullies and bystanders to develop a whole school community holistic approach and works with a number of families to give bespoke support, intervention and advice. He is Vice-Chair of England’s National Anti-Bullying Alliance and a regular media commentator on bullying and has featured in a number of documentaries on teen issues.

Who else had to watch this for school?
What I would give for this guy to go to my sons school. He gets bullied usually let's it go but when it becomes to relentless and disruptive to his learning. He will say something like shut up or a kid that might be physically touching him he might push away. Everytime he ends up in the office for days on end on punishment. Every single time I get a call your son was provoked and bullied. We didn't get involved until he eventually responded and now he's on punishment for two days in the office crying. Or if he leaves to go take a breath like he's supposed to do. He gets punished told no u have to go walk up the stairs across the school and ask to take a breath. When he's walking out of class crying trying his hardest to not make a scene and get in trouble. I've lost my temper do many times seeing the victim get punished and told what he's done wrong. But I believe if he responds and is punished anyone being mean making rude comments physically touching him to get a rise out of him needs to also be punished. But they aren't. So it's gotten where everyone knows pick on caden enough he'll get upset and yell or run out crying then spend the next two days in the office balling his eyes out begging to be able to call his dad to just calm down. Or to have someone talk to him who isn't telling him how wrong he is after being picked on all day then punished after he can't take it and crys or yells or pushes someone touching him back. I wish I could get him to forgive and let it go. But I feel like and the way I get called and hoe the teachers word stuff to me. Make sure they tell me they're twisted version of it before my son talks to me. That they do not have his back and they are worse or as bad as the bullies. They tell me everytime he didn't get picked on it didn't happen. When he's calling me crying he's so hurt. Then saying he's saying he got bullied to justify what he did. Evrrytime my son doesn't lie to me. Never has. And is a tough kid and would not be this hurt over nothing or acting out leaving class crying over something he made up. I do not like the direction that bullying has gone when I was a kid if u were picked on and defended yourself you were not punished and the person who started it victimized. Sorry struck a cord going all over trying to find what to say to him to at least stop the hurt he's feeling everyday
The school needs to hold the bully accountable for their actions.

It's not talked about because of denial and Apathy. Most people are Apaths. They do not care about others and even themselves much. The system is Apathic and they teach yourself to become an Apath if not a Psychopath
