Stereo upgrades have always been my favorite when rebuilding a car. Looks like you’ve got everything you need with this setup. 👍🏻

Just bought and installed the phoenix gold z880 underneath sub after watching your vid.
Awesome bit of kit, sounds epic for such a little sub and hidden away.

People want to work with you, because you do stuff properly and give the attention to detail that makes projects special. Nice upgrades on the ICE; I need to get my act sorted out with speakers! Have a great Christmas with your family, Dan👊

From the old install to the new install looks like night and day, really neat overall package… 🎶

Glad you went with the Pioneer head unit instead of the Chinese stuff, makes a hell of a difference to the sound quality. The old Alpine will still sound awesome but is lacking the modern features, you made a good choice mate.

Nice one again Dan, I fit a separate switch for my reverse so can see behind whenever👍

I’ve all ways said the difference between old cars and new cars aesthetically is the head unit/ radio plus the headlights. A bi-xenon/hid retrofit would look wicked on this van, you can buy prebuilt kits online or just the projectors, shrouds , bulbs and ballasts individually. I’ve fitted a set to a mk5 golf and a s-type jag and it and if fitted correctly and aligned right the different is night and day. Great video 👍🏻

Nice one Dan. This build is really coming together nicely.
Good tip with the reversing camera sidelight wiring, I'll be installing mine during the next few weeks.
And that sub seems to pack some punch alright.
    Awrabesht mate.

yeah that had me thinking, if you have used the side lights and reverse lights as positive feeds to the camera, what happens when you switch side lights on do the reverse lights come on as now you have put 12V to the same connection point, or have you used inline diodes to stop them back feeding the opposite connection, interested on how this is setup

Interesting video Dan and that looks a nice head unit plus it seems to sound really nice as well, I hope your DAB radio works better than mine does, I fitted a head unit in my Merc SLK and like yours the DAB antenna stuck to the windscreen but it was totally useless so I decided to fit a shark tail to the roof luckily there is just enough room for one in front of the hardtop where there is a metal strip, it took me hours to strip the interior out around the screen and make a hole to fit the antenna, the result was... USLESS!!!! 😤 all I could get is a very scratchy Radio1, after a bit of googling I found out that DAB radio isn't very good here in Norfolk🤦‍♂😂 that was 3 years ago but haven't tried it since.

Nice fitout Dan, was wondering with all the camper wiring if a stereo was going to be done too. Merry Christmas mate!

I had one of those stick on dab aerials. It was pure arse and dropped signal all the time, so I was advised to fit a roof one, which is faultless...

This is really was a good video. Been looking at that head unit, might pull the trigger now along with an under-seat sub. Spot on loving the transformation the bus is having
What happened to the caravelle bumper though 🤔

I love to save the boot space with a underseat subwoofer but fact is nothing can replace a 12 inch in a proper box. Can't really have it both ways

hi Dan, i see you have not used "fast rings" on the speakers, they help push the sound into the the cabin, and the backup camera will only work when your side lights or on. stereo look good thought

Looks like you ar missing a load of door seals to make that music hearable when you are driving... But I am not sure how loud the empty bus is... Could drown out any music anyway...
