Have you checked that your windows clear the back of the new speakers, the aftermarket speaker mounts step the speakers out as per the oe ones? Might pay to fit some “sounds like a golf seals on front doors, you have rust on body shell at base or rear edge of drivers door, often caused by door flexing and hitting when it shuts, the secondary door seals solve this.
Yeah they clear nicely pal you just can’t go to big. They are the next jobs tbf brother.
Doors dropped slightly catching at the bottom hence the rust. So paint work was o be sorted and new door seals.
We just hammered it last year didn’t have time for maintenance Jameson just got used a lot 😂🤜🏻🤛🏻

This was the first thing we removed, the previous owner had rear speakers at some point.
All is good now though 👍🏼

They soon got ripped out.
