    Well I have to say, ever since I stumbled on to your channel and started watching the tuner series, you've made it soo much easier for me to figure out some of my tuning issues with my ls swapped wrangler and not want to throw my computer across the garage! The "advanced" settings helped me figure out that my injectors were functioning correctly and that I had a spark issue which is now solved and I like my jeep again ! Keep up the good videos and keep teaching us how to tune!

      @@GoatRopeGarage the problems I have now are, the jeep wants to stall at a stop light and it goes "flat" during acceleration (lack of power) it's a 5.3 with a manual trans

    Another thing about the trans fast learn just from personal exp. if you get into another situation where your vehicle won't move afterwards or goes into false neutral, I found that I could just disconnect the vcm module through pc, kill the truck after park and wait 15 minutes and I would regain full control after restarting. Could be different with the 4l80s and older, but seemed to work well for me. Figured this out over my many times of trying to perform the fast learn with no success on my 6l80 after I rebuilt her. The trans adapt resets did the trick though and are definitely a must after flashing the TCM. Man, you have seriously got some awesome content and I've gained a ridiculous amount of knowledge from your channel.

    2007 Nnbs Silverado 4x4. New trans. Ported and polished 243's, ported and smoothed truck intake, ported stock throttle body and the stock 1 bar maf

    How do you get all the drop downs ? Mine only has base setpoint idle adders and rolling/moving idle.

    This video was helpful but you didn't specify what filters you like to use when MAF or SD tuning. Do you filter out certain pedal positions or transient conditions? Thanks!

    Why is my predefined AFR Error Math showing my AFR sensor highlighted in pink like it isn’t available? I have my wideband configured and transformed in the channel list (it looks ok there).

    When I try to open vehicle controls and special functions it just opens a blank window everything else I've tried for the scanner worked is there something I have to do first before I can use the controls and functions?

    Might be an off topic question but I noticed you had a dtc P0103. Does that affect your transmission shifting? I have 07 tbss with dtc’s P0101 and P0102 and the trans shifts really hard from 1st to 2nd. I used to have P0103 till i started watching your vids and start to try and tune them out one by one but only got rid of the 103 so far. Any insight on why itd keep throwing those codes or can i somehow tell the maf to not put so much line pressure to the trans? Any help is appreciated!! Love the content btw gained a lot of knowledge!

      That's a known issue on those, you'll just need to track the dtc back and verify what's causing it in order to get rid of it, can be a pain sometimes

    i'm not sure if you can do this on a 2001 pcm, P01 controller i believe,, but i would like to know how to do a high idle bump for hydraulics, rpm speed at 1150 activated by a rocker switch on the dash, using the special functions in the scanner is not really handy, so i was wondering the pcm side of making this work

      the truck is a 1995 1 ton with a 2001 5.3 with 4l80e, if there is a solution i'd like to try it on my other truck with 5.3, 5 spd standard

      I'll be honest, I don't know about that one, but I doubt it. Though I'm surprised it being a 1 ton it doesn't have the option to use the cruise control system to command a high idle, though that may be a diesel only kind of thing.

    do you have an idle error histogram setup ,to do idle tuning on a gen 4 ,i have a 2012 caprice ppv 6.0, the table in the editor is in rpms not in temperature , like in older videos .i cant figure it out

      I don't, but I tune the MAF and once it's error ratio is 1% or less at idle your can use it to see how many lb/hr you're taking in at idle and use it to adjust the idle airflow tables

      Idle airflow will need to be adjusted it if it is too far off from what you're getting at idle, you'll see the timing jump around a lot to compensate and try and hold

    I can't seem to add a AFR error Histogram, I've watched your videos , but no numbers are logging. Do I habe to have a wideband. Thanks in advance.

      Where's the best spot to connect it on the exhaust. Do I replace the existing o2 sensor after cats, or do I go to a exhaust place to weld another spot for the sensor .

      @@GoatRopeGarage will I need the pro link to connect the AEM wideband to my MPVI2, I've been told that my car has to have it for the wideband to work, for my VY ss 2003 Commodore. Is this true or are they just trying to make money off me. Appreciate your help , your doing a great job.

      Bill, do you have a PID on the scanner that indicates what mode your camshaft in? You're 5 tables are based on the cam timing, it works a lot like the VVE tables on more modern cars. There are a couple of different options that we can approach this with.

      @@4BillC does it show up as the degree or the state? The tables are split and apparently blend between the 5 be tables based on timing. Send me a log. I think I know a way we can do it.

      I didnt mean to sound selfish on the last comment about getting help. I wanna support because you have great content that has helped me understand alot more with HP tuners. I wanna learn all I can but I'm stuck on my tune and I want my truck to do better something seems off. Thanks for all the help man

      The Patreon is great for the do it yourself beginning tuner. I can check your tunes and log files to make sure that things are going well and if you run into specific issues it is a good way to get additional help. And it's significantly cheaper than a mail order tune which usually starts around $150-200 plus you learn how to tune!
