    To date their worldwide sales are about 60 million with all of the album sales, singles, download etc. They are still to date only swedish artists to have number one album in America. Abba or Roxette never managed that. Their popularity in America was souch huge that their album "The sign" sold more than all of Abba's studio albums put together in US. Quite a feat! Still my all time favourite band!

      None of that matters, they suck. They were just perfect rubbish for mainstream radio in the 90's, whose audience drove jeep cherokees and bought puppies from the mall.

    I think Jenny did a magnificent job keeping the group going when Linn didn't want to be at the front anymore, Jenny carried the rest of their career and never gets the credit she deserves.

    I searched online just to see what if anything they were doing these days cos i have been listening to ''life is a flower'' live version on youtube and it's awesome! really takes me back, but so does ''all that she wants'' because that was the first song i heard in 92

    Crave a modern fix of AOB?
    Their last studio album (with Clara/Julia) “Golden Ratio” is still an underrated pop masterpiece with Jonas/Ulf’s writing/production talent. Total shame nobody knew about it.
    And then “Hidden Gems” was dropped, featuring some of their MANY unreleased “hits” & demos from the 90’s & 2000’s.
    It’s a total treasure, like having a brand new album (with the full original lineup). There are tons of demos out there, but it’s nice to hear this batch mastered.
    Don’t miss out on these records! The best & most positive pop group of all time (that actually writes their own music)
    Enjoy when mainstream pop music was actually good !

    Yeah, Sadly I don't believe they will ever have a Reunion. For many various reasons, but also the fact that there is something about becoming irrelevant in the course of time with what had happened between everything in the band, especially with what the record company was demanding of them and then Jenny Departing. With Jenny having moved on and doing her own thing, it is really the remnants and as close as we will get to anything of Ace of Base, and also the taste of her side project. I give her credit for pulling through all of everything to still press forward and keeping the legacy alive! I would love to think we would maybe either get one Farewell Song or a Goodbye Letter Statement secretly recorded by Linn as we may never hear from her ever again, but even that is probably too much of wishful thinking :/

    Both of the ladies were so beautiful although different in their facial beauty aspects, Linn was an adorable blonde with lovely blue thinking type of eyes and Jenni had beautiful features with a very attractive perfect nose, both boys were also handsome in their own right, their music was also iconic, I like their "All that she wants". Only if they hadn't split up. Maybe this band got struck by an evil eye of some jealous person. For apparently no reason at all, at the prime of their career, Linn's mood was off, not wanting to perform any longer, after the passage of some time same loss of interest also showed up in Jenni. All of the members went separate ways. An evil eye for sure. They were young, attractive, energetic, popular and performing very well, they should've carried on with the music act.

    Ingegerd/Iryna/Anna orthodox saint, born in Sweden with a slavic/Obotritic princess mother. She had nine siblings in Västergötland. The siblings in Ace of Base are probably related like Bodil in Timoteij. That explains their looks, musicality and spirituality....

      She also saw lots of alcohol and drug-abuse in American music and media business, never liked it. She loved the success in Europe but not in America. It was too much for her, since all eyes were on her.

    Linn left The band officially in 2002 and Jenny didnt leave The band... Jonas and Ulf acted so badly with her and made her quit... So The most amazing band in the World is over mostly becuse of Jonas and Ulf.... Sad but true

    • @Mrparangos3
      @Mrparangos3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, Jonas and Ulf were the most important members in the band and even more important was Jonas who was the brain of the group, he made and created all the songs and rhythms, Linn and Jenny were just voices, It's sad but thuth, no one said Linn and Jenny weren't important and beautiful, both sisters made Ace of Base looked much better and gain more popularity but the real truth is what I said before, Jonas and Ulf were genius.

    • @perllyngrenn2100
      @perllyngrenn2100 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's not entirely accurate. Linn's last participation was in 2005 when songs like "Sunset in Southern California" and the "Would You Believe" remake were recorded.

      Let’s be brutally honest about something:
      Jenny was a backup vocalist and probably only part of the band because she’s a sibling
      Linn was the talent with that spectral voice that everyone knows the band for
      Jonas and Ulf wrote the hits
      Jenny had a good stage presence but she was so jealous of Linn that it caused problems

    • @Right_Direction_
      @Right_Direction_ 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Linn and Jenny were the face of the group, even though the boys were responsible for writing and producing, without the sisters or even just Jenny it didn't work. The way they treated Jenny and replaced her was so horrible and probably why Jenny says she will not work with them again.

    I feel bad they have just 4 millions dollars net worth each. They made pop music. And like Miley Cyrus has $200 millions. Not fare.

  • @SickSoundingStuff

    Indulge my inner critic for a moment as I knit pick if you would, but you cannot say, "The two sisters left in '07 and '09, respectively," without first stating both of their names before the order in which they left. That's how "respectively" works. I say this in the name of education and not to slam the narrator, respectively.

    What is sensuality and spirituality? Now the french and the world knows by three siblings remotely related, probably, with the french royal Capets. Anne de Kyiv married Henri Capet, she was daughter to Iryna of Kyiv/Ingegerd, who grew up in Västergötland, Sweden with 8 siblings. Ace of Base must descend from them. There is hardly any other way they can look both nordic and slavic...They are probably related to other guys who are not so sexy and well known as Birger Jarl, who moved center of Sweden to Stockholm, also ockupied Neva mouth in Russia(later St Petersburg), was attacked by Alexander, russian tsar, earning him the name Alexander Nevskij...

    Pop trash. When there's no substance for your music, you can't expect to be around for long. They had a few hits that all sounded the same, like derivative faux reggae Pop, unoriginal and bland. Good thing they went away. Best left forgotten.

    • @petrimurto8571
      @petrimurto8571 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      Are you serious? They had everything! They were very original, good songwriters and their lyrics had depth in them. AOB had 4 amazing studio albums. Just because you think bad of them it doesnt remove the millions of people who enjoy their music still :) Plus their impact is undeniable in pop business. Because of their massive success in US, right people wanted to get in contact with swedish producers & songwriters behind them. You know Max Martin. Without Ace of Base he never would have made his way to US and we never would have had hits for Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, NSync, Pink and tens of others major stars. So AOB's impact in huge.
