    In my idea, now the world need Linn more than 90's
    There is so many wars and bad news in the world now and Linn can help people by her art, magic voice, kind heart and peaceful message (in my imaginations, i see Malin Berggren as UN Ambassador for Peace) 💐 what a beautiful wish 🙏

    Wow, interesting...!! When Ulf was 14-16 years old - can only imagine he 'fell in' with a crowd. Many children are desperate just to fit in. It's easy for us to judge and know everything about someone when we hear something throwaway online that might shock us.

    Important to point out that Ulf Ekberg denies that the racist tracks on the "Uffe was a Nazi" CD have anything to do with him or the band Commit Suiside. They are 'credited' on the album, but that album was published anonymously and wasn't released until 1998, six years after Ulf Ekberg had stated to the press that he regretted his racist past. To be clear, *someone* sang those racist songs, but it's not clear it's Ulf Ekberg or even Commit Suiside.
    Your Linn summary is quite a good one, although it omits all mention of the decade when all the band members pretended Linn was still in Ace of Base when they later admitted in 2007 that she hadn't been involved for many years.

    • @jonnyharvey
      @jonnyharvey  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes that’s mentioned in the very long quote I featured in the video from E News! Even if the band didn’t write them, they performed them, which is still shocking

      @@jonnyharvey Ulf says they didn't perform them. He says Commit Suiside was not a racist band. *Someone* performed those songs, but it's not clear it was CS. Ulf states that he was a racist, but the songs attributed to CS were not performed by them.

      @PopUnlimited ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@jonnyharvey No, that's not correct. Ulf claims they didn't even perform those tracks. The band performed regularly at club nights across Gothenburg in the 80s so you should be careful about labelling them a "Nazi punk band".

    Mucha gente no entiende que Linn se traumatizase por el ataque de la fan alemana a Jenny y a sus padres,eso es porque no se explica nunca que realmente esa fan solo quería ver a Linn,su objetivo era ver y hablar con Linn,así lo declaró en la casa de la familia cuando les exigía ver a Linn,y en el juicio eso es lo que declaró,además tenía otros acosadores que fueron detenidos en varias ocasiones intentando entrar,o entrando,en las habitaciones que ocupaba Linn en los hoteles,y también era acosada por carta,todo eso se suma al poco interés en la fama y el dinero que tenía Malin,todo fue la causa de su retirada gradual del mundo público,no es culpa suya que la mayoría de los fans la adorasen y no aceptaran el cambio de cantante principal.

      In USSR they were a problem. You're just too young to remember what radical left look like. The USSR, Poland, Romania, Hungary - in those places it's still hard to convince the older generation that not all the left should be radical as communists were, and there are non-radical left. There's nothing radical in being a socialist, that's actually more of a norm in many countries like Sweden, France, Germany etc

    In the beginning Ace of Base had problems to strike in Sweden. This is probably because journalists are generally leftist in Sweden. Everything in music should be based on criticism against something or a protest about something. ABBA and Roxette became so big in just a couple of months so that nobody listened to irrelevant swedish journalist. The music critics had time in Sweden to affect people´s minds, how uncool it would be to like Ace of Base, that it took some time to get passed this...But this swedish naivity, happy-go lucky was in tune what most of the world population imagined of Sweden. They thought it was true, that it was genuine, and they LOVED IT....
