Not just us, there is something very very special with this song, there is a reason why it become something like an anthem for the survivors and refugees of 1995 earthquake that decimated the area of Kobe, Osaka, etc.
Many artists that year performed special shows to support the survivors and Yuzurenai Negai by Naomi Tamura was one of the favorites songs, that year sold more than 1 million copies.
There is just something "magical" about this song...

Dude. I am 46 years old. This OP still brings me back.
To me, it was an Isekai before it became a genre.
It was my first Mahoshojo before I even heard of Sailor Moon.
It was my first exposure to a mind blowing plot twist (the Princess Emeraude x Zagato confession and the three girl's purpose as executioners).
It was perfect to me in so many ways.
