I completely agree. I was 56 before going Vegan. I was basically on my deathbed until a Vegan came into my life. At that time 9 years ago I wasn't familiar with any junk Vegan foods so I ate whole foods plant based and within 1 month my body healed leaving my chatterbox doctor completely speechless. Since then I've been consuming Vegan junk food and although at 65 now I'm still extremely healthy, I can feel a difference between living whole foods plant based and Vegan processed foods. I love Vegan processed foods but I commit myself to 80% WFPB. I'm still fitter, stronger, faster than any non Vegan I know 15 years younger. Look at all those full hospitals around the world full of people eating a non Vegan diet and thinking they're eating healthy foods - if their diet was healthy. They wouldn't be in hospital (obviously excluding most accident victims)
My Dad is 70 years old and he’s the fittest Mexican I know! He eats everything in super moderation except red meat. He’s mostly on a plant based diet for the most part. He NEVER eats fake vegan foods. He can still sprint race against his grandchildren always beating them or tied. He does 100 push-ups in one go. He does pull ups and can still do head stands.. my Dad is the fittest 70 year old Mexican in America

Go check nova food process. Stage 2-3 Process food like tofu isn't bad, but ultra process food like frozen pizza (vegan and non-vegan) are not healthy at all. The ingredients they use have so much lab preservatives and lab made chemicals.

I make my pizza every Friday night hahah. But it’s really nice.. I make a dough from chickpea flour oats whole wheat flour and buckwheat whatever sauce and veggies sometimes I’ll make a meat substitute, but top it with a home made plant milk becemel sauce.. so good

Im not vegan, but this is the diet Im having 5 days the week. Often with regional and seasional fruit and vegetables. Lots of cheaper. On the weekend we have meat from our befriended chicken and cow farmer. They grow their own Dinkel and food for their animals. Its a lot pricier, but thats fine for me since we only eat meat maybe once a weak or sometimes Pizza or Sushi ^^

Wholefoods plant-based eating is a different nutrition plan than veganism. People confuse these terms all of the time. For example, you described the difference right up front, but you still referted to it as a vegan diet. Veganism is based on a philosophy of treating animals with respect as equals by not eating them or harming them. It also relates to improving greenhouse gasses, etc. Vegans generally won't touch anything to eat or wear that comes from an animal or even an insect, such as leather, honey, silk etc. However, they like to eat food that mimics the taste and feel of animal products such as "vegan" cheese, cream sauce, chicken nuggets and the like. WFPB eaters eat plant-based for health's sake rather than avoiding animal products due to concerns about harming/killing animals. They don't attempt to mimic using animal-based products by formulating ways to make plant-based products taste like animal products. I wish people would stop using these terms interchangeably because they are not the same.

Most high proteins come with fats. And when you eat high carbs you store that fat.. no bread is probally the only thing u need 2 cut out

Beans, lentils, peanuts, spinach, nuts and seeds, peas and wheat gluten (seitan) is a good place to start.
Remember to soak/stew well and keep the water/Broth.
The reason being the Cellulose cell walls are incredibly difficult to break down.

Wholefoods plant-based eating is a different nutrition plan than veganism. People confuse these terms all of the time. For example, you described the difference right up front, but you still referted to it as a vegan diet. Veganism is based on a philosophy of treating animals with respect as equals by not eating them or harming them. It also relates to improving greenhouse gasses, etc. Vegans generally won't touch anything to eat or wear that comes from an animal or even an insect, such as leather, honey, silk etc. However, they like to eat food that mimics the taste and feel of animal products such as "vegan" cheese, cream sauce, chicken nuggets and the like. WFPB eaters eat plant-based for health's sake rather than avoiding animal products due to concerns about harming/killing animals. They don't attempt to mimic using animal-based products by formulating ways to make plant-based products taste like animal products. I wish people would stop using these terms interchangeably because they are not the same.

If you really like steak, enjoy a steak.
