Explanation for those who don't get it:
The anime itself spoil their watchers. Rimuru haven't summoned Diablo yet. Rimuru will summon Diablo on next arc, which will be the first arc of season 2.
Also, in the last episode of season 1 Diablo said "You finally summoned me and my own family got ahead of me". Meaning, when Rimuru was summoning a demon for the golem of Ramiris he was supposed to summon Diablo but someone else in his family beat him to it. That demon(I will not mention his name because it will be a spoiler) is now controlling the golem while Diablo stay in the demon realm waiting for Rimuru to summon him again.

Why does he summon another demon
Travis letchford there was a war going on rite now and rimuru needed to become a demon lord and in order for him to revive shion and others that died. So to be a demon lord u had to gather 10 000 souls so he massacred the kingdom’s army and killed around 150000+ soldiers. He summons some demons to help capture the king and the few survivors. He summons 2 other demons and Diablo.

In the last episode Rimuru summoned a demon which was beneath Kuro. Kuro is then shown expressing regret that he missed a chance to be summoned. At the end of this episode they openly tell you that Rimuru summons Kuro later and grants him the name Diablo.
I don't want to say more but notice that a poster for season 2 shows Rimuru wearing black clothes.

Season 1 is just a great huge prologue to give the basic ideas of setting for this world and introduce characters and planned a lot of plot seeds. Like a gear 1 in driving, next season will be a gear 2. The planned seeds will grow in next season.

Diablo is the "Black Progenitor", btw there's also a Red progenitor, by what I understood the those progenitors are the ones that create demons and the Black progenitor doesn't have a name, he gets one from rimuru, tho I'm not completely sure

Diablo is one of the oldest demons, and has become so strong he's almost bored with existence. That's why he's so fascinated with Rimuru and the mask. He finally has something to be excited about. Also, demons typically need supplied with magicules (or souls) to stay in the world. It was skipped in the anime but in the light novel, Rimuru paid the demon in the gollum with his own magicules for payment in their contract. And thats why Diablo mentioned early in this episode that their "payment" was only enough for 3 days.

Kuro a nicknake is for the Black Progenitor (more or less Demon Gods) who is also called Noir. Rimuru will eventually successfully summon him and name him Diablo. As Black Filter noted Rimuru almost summoned Black/Kuro/Noir for Ramiris's golem but another member of his family got ahead of him, so either Red/Rouge or White/Blanc.
Also Kuro noted Archdemon Orthus & his minions' powers were born of the Red Progenitor's.

Rimuru summoned a different high class demon in the labyrinth to guard the spirit queen. The anime condensed it and shows only that he summoned some kind of great demon but it is not Diablo. That's why Diablo said at the end "What a blunder, you've finally summoned me and my family got ahead of me, next time without a doubt"
The demon Rimuru summoned is another demon with nothing to do with Diablo.
You have seen Diablo (actualy "Noir" (black) at that point)during the spirith summoning for the children, right after Chloe got possessed by "something/one from the futur", he was planning to use the summon to enter the material world, but the "futur creature" bit him to it.

The demon Diablo was mentioning last episode was Beretta, the demon that inhabited the golem that Rimuru gave to Ramiris. It is kind of messed up because they have a lot of air time and they did not even introduced Beretta. That is why last episode Diablo said that it is a horrible blunder that his own kind got ahead of him.
Poor beretta man. the dude tries so hard but gets cucked by even the anime.
@@shakeee3n People would not even notice him if they have no ideas from the published novels. I mean the next episodes for the second season is already the start of the demon lord arc. Heck, even Diablo had better introduction eventhough there is no need early at this point of time. It sucks that the publishers cannot even follow a simple chronology.

I am already pissed off at Charybdis for existing but the fact that it took Berreta's screen time pisses me off even more.
@@shakeee3n We can only hope since Beretta's next appearance since his introduction in the novel is in the late stages of the demon lord arc following the tournament arc which if put in animated series will probably take quite a few episodes if the publishers decide not to cut down from the source material. They messed up big time by not introducing Beretta properly after obtaining the spirit for the children. Next arc is one of the busiest if not the busiest and most crowded part of the entire series. Lots of new character and development so an introduction this late is sort of a failure on their side.
@@shuunosukesato4379 Hopefully the next arc will take about 6-8 episodes at least. they need 1-2 for hinata, 1-2 for the "incident", 1-2 for the massacre and then 1-2 for the ending of the arc.
I have a theory. When the anime calls him Diablo, I don't think that's his name. In the episode they actually say what he is, one of the demon progenitors known only by a color - in Diablo's case he's known as 'black', thus why he's called 'Kuro' as an imitation name. I think that when Rimuru summons him, he'll eventually give Kuro the name 'Diablo'.

Diablo is the name of the demon that Rimuru placed in the Golem for the replacement... however, it was probably an incomplete summon (my guess).
The manga was a lot more clear on this.
that was not Diablo that was Beretta a demon too
The Demon that Rimuru placed in the Golem called Baretta a different demon, while Diablo will be summoned later in S2
Just like how Orthos is in this episode is a demon from the red family, the demon that Rimuru placed in the golem is from the black/Diablo's family. Which is why Diablo said his regret that his "family" got ahead of him in the summoning.
