TenSura has an amazing story and 8-bits really did an amazing job for TenSura! As an Iseikai Anime, it is really different from all the usual common template Iseikai Anime. There are some LN turned Anime, which turn out bad or not that good. Lucky TenSura turns out to be amazing. Summary points of this episode; 1) Introduce 3 progenitors Demon characters who are referred to as Rouge (Red), Blanc (White) and Noir (Kuro/Black), they are the top supreme in the DEMON Realm. 2) Kuro encountered the Mask that compresses infinite time and surpasses time, which intrigues his interest of whom power was it from that have the power to cause his pain with his arm gone. 3) Learn the ranks of those DEMON type species, who live in DEMON Realm unless being summoned to the living world. 4) DEMON gain power by killing powerful adventurers/people. 5) Orthos, was a descendant of Rouge, who gained his own name, which he referred that just like that Supreme being who reigns at the top, he is referring to Rouge here who also manages to get his own name a long time ago. 6) This whole event took place when Shizu is still an adventurer before she becomes a teacher, which is at least 50 years ago before she meets Rimuru later on. Which is why you see Kuro holding the crystal ball showing Rimuru's fight with Ifrit. 7) Kuro has been keeping an eye on the Mask until the Mask cracked (during the Ifrit break free), he knew he found the guy/slime responsible for the power of the mask. 8) Kuro has been waiting for all these years to meet Rimuru in person which is why in the previous episode, when Rimuru summoned a Demon for the new Golem for Ramiris. He mentioned that he made a blunder that his family got ahead of him, he is referring to the Demon under him went to Rimuru's summon before him. Timeline reference to the Mask with shown information by past episodes; 1) Hero Meet Shizu, later passed Mask to Shizu. 2) Mask cracked, seal power on the mask is broken, Ifrit breaks free and took over Shizu's body. 3) Mask passed on to Rimuru and We get to know the Mask can seal Magic Molecules. 4) Mask was fixed by Rimuru. 5) Mask passed to Chole 6) . . . Last) Assume the Mask somehow goes back in time and passed to the Hero, start with 1 again for infinite time loop. Reading the manga is a great way to cover some of the miss out details from the anime, unless you got more time, can try to go read the LN as well for more details up to vol.4 or just check it out for the info data on Rimuru's current status, to have an overview of what skills he has and his current power level. When reading the LN, you can just do speed reading and stop at parts where the information is not mentioned or different in the anime or manga. Or after you have done the manga, while waiting for season 2 you can also try to rewatch the season and see if you find some information that you might previously miss out or some things that make a better sense to you now and let you see some things in a new light.
SPOILER Seeing that the Hero IS Chloe and she has the ability to Time Travel (even if it's with a lot of restrictions) the cycle of the mask is Infinite. We cannot know who was it's original owner because it's an infinite paradox: Mask pass from Shizu to Rimuru> Mask pass from Rimuru to Chloe (Legendary Black Haired Hero) and then she goes back in time > Mask pass from Chloe to Shizu > Back to point 1. That mask is a fuk*ng paradox!!!!
diablo actually wanted to be the first summoned, as he said at the end of the 23rd ep, but another demon got the jump on him, though he didnt mind since it wasnt directly at rimuru's side. A Very pleasant guy :D

No. The mask absorbed her aura. If a being has a powerful aura, items and equipment (and apparently dire wolves like Ranga) absorb power when constantly in the presence of those seeping aura.
Demon ranks: Lesser Demon, Greater Demon, Arch Demon, Primordial Demon: It rivals the power of a self-proclaimed demon Lord(A rank), Demon Duke, and lastly (Awakened/True) Demon Lord. Kuro(Black) or Diablo is one of the 7 Primordial Demons and became Demon Duke After Being named.

SUPER SPOILERS * * * * * * Chloe's spirit is a Time Spirit. She grows up to become the hero who traps Veldora. In the future, she loses control of the Time Spirit and destroys the world. THIS TIME, Rimuru is there to tame her heart and keep her in control. He helps her to maintain control and master the Time Spirit upgrading her to a demigod. Because Chloe had the mask for so long, it start to absurd the ability to suppress time. She takes Shizu as an apprentice and gives her the mask. Shizu gives the mask to Rimuru, who in turn gives it to Chloe. After understanding her power, she realizes she has to give the mask to Shizu in order for her to give it to Rimure and her beloved Rimuru to give it to her. It is a paradoxical time loop. As it pertains to Black (Diablo), he is Rimuru's 2nd attempt at summoning a demon (the first being Ramaris' golem). This happens right after he becomes a True Demon Lord (the inference being he is so powerful that he summons the second most powerful demon ever [check out Guy Crimson aka Red aka Rouge aka the first Demon Lord]). Diablo is so dedicated to Rimuru, that he worships him as his god. So much so, that he tortures the guy who killed him when he was a human. in the light novel the story goes that Shion dies from otherworlders, 10,000 soldiers are killed from Rimurus Megiddo which is pure sunlight intensified into beams, and then 10,000 more are instantly slaughtered when they despair at Rimurus raw strength. One powerful mage is left and Rimuru is weakened from the true Demon Lord evolution beginning so he uses the 20,000 corpses, not souls, to summon Kuro and handle the powerful mage. When Rimuru completes the evolution and wakes up the souls of the people who died are restored into their bodies and become undying from physical damage as a result.
I recommend that you dont watch Kenja no Mago due to how fucking BULLSHIT the story is and how unoriginal it is considering the fact that ive seen 67 other isekai with the same formula...Just stick to Slime, Overlord, Shieldbro, Konosuba,Rezero etc
