I’m glad you posted this video. I’ve been fooling with mine ever since I bought my rifle and it’s aggravating every time I use it. Some times it would feed but mostly it wouldn’t until I saw this and made your mod and now it feeds normally. It is a shame the manufacturer wouldn’t correct this. Thank you very much 👍
Great vid! I bought 2 of the 10 round mags for my 93 in 17HRM 5 years ago and never once was able to get either one to feed a single round. I'm going to try your fix here tonight and take those mags out shooting tomorrow.
Thanks I had the same problem with some mags for the .22lr. I got, I took a good one and measured the top opening and found the ones that were bad were opened up more. I too a my pliers and closed the all up the same, and no more problem, that was about two years ago and are all still working great. Got three form a gun dealer, and now I know why they were on sale as all three did the same thing. I do not go to him any more.
Looks like that did the trick so Thank you. Seen somewhere else where they slightly bend in the 2 metal tabs that wrap around the bottom end of the casing to help pull back end down and kick the nose up.
Savage should hire or pay you and put your video on their support page. Think of how many people sold their rifle due to feeding issues. Lots of bad reviews on TH-cam.
Why should we fix savages screwups with brand new guns and magazines?? It’s the same quality and attitude of Chinese companies- selling you a cheap drill with bad engineering with a free toolkit and parts to fix the problems.. Problem with savage- you don’t even get the cheap tools or parts for free. That’s an insult to their customers.
I’ve been so frustrated with how my bullets were not chambering into my new rifle. THANK YOU FOR THIS FIX! It’s working great!!!!

Thanks for the feedback Alan!
Nice observation, it would be easy to miss.
I know you enjoyed seeing it as a problem and knowing you could fix it..
Fixed both of mine so thanks!
Thank you sir! These feeding issues have been driving me crazy!!!
Did the fix. Feeds nice and smooth now. Every time!

Robert thank you for posting this. It worked great.

Great to know Rob, I thought it to be a spring issue not the follower, thank you Sir
Going to try this tomorrow. My bolt will push my rounds down into the front of the magazine so hopefully this helps

Off topic but how well does the heated mec case conditioner work on the shotshell hulls? Any difference in sizing or longevity?
Thanks for the information.
I new if I was patient enough I would find someone with the information. I'm very thankful
Genius.
Thank You.........MB.
My bolt hits the mag. I sent my whole rifle back to Savage.

Sorry bro,
got rid of all of them, half price.

Yeah, I'll probably never buy another Savage. Their loss.
