You Tube needs to add a heart icon!... I LOVE all the extra patterns from just those strip sets and triangles..... Thank you Jenny and Nat, this had light bulbs going off in my head.
When Jenny said “unless you just don’t care” I felt that! That’s the kind of quilter I am! It doesn’t have to be perfect! I just have to love it and have fun making it!
Love that Natalie throws in a little ‘’left brain’ to Jenny’s right brain creativity! As a ‘RB’ I need a left brain to help me organize and think thru the layouts from time to time. Great team work, girls!!
Thank you for the extra comments Natalie. My brain is serendipitous and I don’t see the details you pointed out until I’m making more blocks. I love Fridays with MSQC and Jenny. So glad you are remaking some of the original quilts I never saw.
Great video I love the mother daughter connection you two have. Natalie you have the sweetest disposition when Jenny is talking. Jenny raised you right;)
I don't have a table and not much room so I use the table runners as a protector on the backs of my living room furniture and change them out for the seasons. Adds a bright spot in the house!
Jenny, I received your book yesterday, and I read it today. I love it. You had me in tear towards the end of the book, used up a lot of tissues. I had been in a dry spell for several years after my husband passed with ideas for quilts. Then I found your tutorials and I have been a busy bee since. I too love to sew and raised 6 kids, so I have sewn for years. Thank you for being you.
@@ErinDarlyn My husband passed 10 years ago on Dec 3. It took me 4 years to feel comfortable with the passing. I found Jenny Doan's tutorials, and the rest is history. I have 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, so this is what is keeping me busy. Don't push your Mom, she will come around at the right time for her, she is still in morning. My best to you both.
I love how you maximized this pattern! The showcase/trunk show of the different options was fabulous and inspiring. I think this is a great way to get my Christmas sewing gift making done with one pattern. Guess what everyone is getting this Christmas? Love to see Jenny and Natalie together, reminds me of your early videos.
If I had an idol other than Jesus it would be Jenny! Natalie, your comments and ideas are wonderful and really clever! Always love watching your videos! 💜
I had Serendipity marked for my to do list. Think it just moved higher up on the list. Especially love what you did with the bonus blocks. How cute and adorable!! Make a couple pillows from the 4 leftover blocks, a table topper under the lamp and every thing is coordinating!
Wonder if there are enough bonus blocks for a border? Probably not. This is a pretty big quilt, but could do a little design for an after quilt. Hmmmm It is 1 am, here but I just went in and picked my jelly roll, from MSQC, of course.
Loved seeing the mother daughter team again! This is so special to me because I lost my mom 5 yrs ago. Mothers and daughters that get along as you do are one of lifes greatest treasures! Love watching it!
I really love how you used All the extra pieces to make so many projects to share with family and friends. This truly was a great uses of fabrics. And I love how many extra table runners you got out of that one jelly roll. Share the Love of CHRISTMAS!!!!!🎄
Thursday evenings are my favorite 🧡💙. A special treat tonight with Jenny and Natalie!!! Love this quilt and all the bonus projects. You guys are the best!
Wow! Talk about a big bang for your buck! Great ideas for the extra blocks. I appreciate your creativity (Jenny, Natalie and Misty) and all the great ideas you share with us.
I can’t believe all of the things you can do with the leftover blocks! Make a beautiful quilt PLUS make additional runners or another quilt? Mind blown 🤯!
WOW you guys are just so much fun. I love and can't wait for more videos. I love the three of you so much. You just have fun. Thank you. I know Misty isn't in this video but it is amazing.
That fabric you used is just gorgeous! I love Christmas! Thanks for the remake of this quilt. It looks great and all the bonus projects are wonderful!!
Hi GREAT VIDEO - you should do your next book with Half Square Triangle patterns that would be GREAT. Lovely seeing you both. Jenny you taught me to sew 4 years ago - I couldn't sew a button on and my mum who sadly is no longer with us tried to show me how to sew but at that time and age I wasn't interested BIG MISTAKE, She would be so proud of how far I have come making quilts and all sorts of other goodies, and Jenny that is all down to you and watching your videos. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Linda (from England) xxx
Thank you for the amazing video today. Love it very much. Excited to make to be honest. I received my countdown to Christmas 🎄 box Wednesday and I am having the hardest time not opening it. I just want all the awesome gifts now a month early. Super excited to start opening. Also, thank you for sharing your life with us. The book was so heartwarming that I laughed, cried and just smile the whole way through.
Hi ladies! I remember watching the original Serendipity tutorial 😊 Love all these new ideas for it!! I've branched out since doing all the quilts I've made last year & this year to using different background fabrics-they don't all have to be light colorways. I did a mini charm pack Christmas tree wall hanging with a medium gray fabric last year after seeing Pat Sloan use a similar shade of gray. I just love the way it came out 💟 With you using the reds in the original one gets us all thinking. So many options for the secondary blocks!
You ladys are wonderful I love these beautiful quilts, and runners and I love you guys like family, one day my best friend and I are coming up there and I hope we get to meet you all. I look forward to my Fridays just for you guys. It's hard to wrap my brain around things but you make it look so easy there isn't a lot of time in the day to do all I want to do with all the fabric but I'm going to do it your all inspiring thank you for that. Love to you all hope to see you soon 💕 Cindy.
Great pattern and I just happened to have a Christmas jelly roll with no previous attachments to another pattern. Going to make the quilt and table runners for gifts. Just wondering Who in the heck is down thumbing any of Jenny's videos?! Crazy not to like them!!! Love all of thrm!
Jenny i so enjoyed watching you and Natalie showing how to make this quilt and then all the extra tips of what can be done with the left overs as it were. Great fun and thanks for showing. Watching all the way from South Africa.
Well that makes Christmas easy! Jenny, I received your book on Oct 17. Started reading it that night, and saw the sun come up on the 18th. I have no words. I guess making others happy is truly the way to happiness. The k you for a great read, and a greater life lesson.
. I Did get your book and read it right away. I loved it. I cried alot. I just love you so much. And your family. Hi Natalie. I got the quilt done from the Doan girls retreat that you taught As I went along it got better and I didn't have to " fudge" the blocks as Misty said when she had to help me.
I made two quilts from the original pattern. Those are still my 2 favorite quilts! I still have some leftover blocks because I used yardage and made extras! Ha ha! Someday I will take those blocks and make some totes or something!
I love seeing all the ways to use this block. They are all lovely. I can't wait to make one ... or two or ten! I love the Triple Play videos for the same reason, you ladies make it easy to imagine more ways to use blocks. Thanks!!!
I love the versatility on this - so little waste which is awesome! I love the options that you showed with the table runners too. Great gift ideas with "one" project :)
Got my count-down to Christmas today. Had to hide it from myself so I don’t tear into the whole thing right now. Love these two-for-one quilts. So many great ideas!
My box came yesterday too. Don’t have any place to hide it since I live in a small mobile home so it’s sitting in a corner of the sewing room & is SOOO tempting! Going to take everything I have to wait!
Love to see how your brains work with all the extras after making the quilts. Love the designs and colors, thank you ladies so much. Have a great weekend.
Omg! Look at ALL those beautiful table runners! 🙀I love all those different variations in the blocks. It so amazing all you can do with just a HSTs. Nice job. 👏👏👏👏
Natalie is funny and smart just like mom. 💗 I’ll be using my Stonehenge Gradiations strips I don’t know what to do with. Natalie, come in front of the camera more often. You two work so well together
Oh my gosh! That was amazing! So much fun! I have four sisters and I can see us all gathered together at a sisters retreat just making so many cute project s from this tutorial. You bring quilting to life for me every! ❤️
I'm not a quilter but I love watching you, Ladies! I am always amazed at how the components come together to make blocks and how the blocks come together to make a quilt.
The design is simple but has so many variations, and now I have so many ideas swirling around in my brain... can't wait to get started on my Christmas quilt. I appreciate a design that uses all of the fabric - I hate to waste fabric. Love your tutorials.❤️
I have a Halloween and Christmas quilt but not a fall quilt. This is beautiful and would be beautiful in fall colors. I better get busy! Thank you for such wonderful ideas!
This is just beautiful. I am working on a Jean quilt for one of my sons. I was looking for a design to make one for my other son. I think this would be great to make a quilt for him and the other for his girlfriend. I have two craft shows to prepare for and my sister’s 60th birthday party on thanksgiving day. Hopefully I will be able to do this too.
I just love watching your videos. You all are so fun and genuine, I feel like we are old friends. I found your tutorials when I was just learning to quilt(when you first started doing videos) and I find myself using those 'mantras' that you've shared as I quilt. Thanks for making quilting accessible to anyone who wants to learn. You guys are the best.
You Tube needs to add a heart icon!... I LOVE all the extra patterns from just those strip sets and triangles..... Thank you Jenny and Nat, this had light bulbs going off in my head.
I love natalies little cautions about what else to look out for, such as getting horizontal or vertical only. Voice of experience, very helpful.
😊 love the creativity! Been a while since I watched your videos...
Natalie I love what you add to your Mom because you speak to the person who is a beginner and has challenges thinking things out
The “bonus” patterns are as fun as the original pattern. I think a bed runner would be a great option too.
When Jenny said “unless you just don’t care” I felt that! That’s the kind of quilter I am! It doesn’t have to be perfect! I just have to love it and have fun making it!
That's something I'm discovering and it's liberating as I learn!
Exactly, I feel the same way.
Love that Natalie throws in a little ‘’left brain’ to Jenny’s right brain creativity! As a ‘RB’ I need a left brain to help me organize and think thru the layouts from time to time. Great team work, girls!!
I love it when you and Natalie do a video together! Natalie's smile is so bright and you both give such great directions!
Love the table runners! When I make mine, I use a layer of insulbrite so that it doubles as a large hot mat for the table.
What a great idea!
Very smart!!!

Yes, exactly, I do the same thing.......no need for all the extra stuff on the table.....they can sit safely on the table runner.
Thank you for the extra comments Natalie. My brain is serendipitous and I don’t see the details you pointed out until I’m making more blocks. I love Fridays with MSQC and Jenny. So glad you are remaking some of the original quilts I never saw.

I love Natalie longer hair style. This pattern will be great in bright Christmas fabric.

I could make HST quilts forever and never repeat the same pattern. Thanks for the fun tutorial!
"Sage"! Thanks for bringing to my attention how much I love that shade of green for the holidays. I didn't realize. I like that fabric line ❤️
I was impressed with the second quilt but wow all those table runners from the secondary blocks are amazing.
The white squares in the main quilt create a playground for rulerwork quilting. Thanks ladies for the great ideas! Love you both!

There is nothing about this video I don’t like! ♥️♥️♥️ I love this pattern and so enjoyed the whole presentation 😊
