Oxy-Dry Oreck cleaning with the Challenger pad

I was sent some new pads from Challenger to try and they are definitely a good pad. They are basically the same pad as the Superzorb pads for the Orbot and Vibe and I have always liked them for those machines. These pads work well with the Oreck and assuming they are the same as the Superzorbs they will stand up well over time. They are very similar to the TOPS pads I usually prefer but its nice to know there are other options as well. The Oreck is a good machine for steps and I will often pull it out for small jobs such as this but as a main machine for someone operating full time it will limit productivity and options. These machines are not a good option for large jobs particularly condo hallways or large commercial but they have their place for smaller jobs, part time operators and steps.

You would really like the Odyssey from Trinity. It is perfect for smaller jobs like this. The tapping action and the wide orbit make a huge difference for cleaning.

I would like to get one but I likely wouldn't use it much anyway and I have enough machines as it is. If one comes up on facebook marketplace close enough to me I would buy it but with the dollar exchange and shipping and border fees the cost gets out of hand for a new one.

Hey Robin Suspend seems to work great! Have you tried Omegazyme with the Omega Citrus? Curious about yiur thoughts...

I have never used the Omegazyme, I alway use stabilized Clo2 in my mix and it would negatively affect the enzymes so I never use enzymes.

Robin did you alter that regular Oreck pad driver with Velcro? And if so, how did you do it if you don’t mind me asking?

The Encap store sells a Velcro sheet that fits on the Oreck pad driver. You scrape or grind off the original hooks and glue the Velcro on, I use Goop to glue mine.
