All of modern Southern Africa and for the most part Africa is divided by borders created by European colonizers. The Basotho are a nation of several clans besides the Bakoena. The prophet messenger is the attribute and the manifestation of the Word of God for his generation. [Kc.60v24] 10 If a ministry of Ephesians 4:11 does not act, God's plan will be fulfilled. But God can neither do without nor replace the prophet messenger. Let him refuse like Jonah, God will use him ... And a prophet messenger, it’s not to have some big church but a book like Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah… And today, this Sunday, millions of sermons will be given in the whole world, in all the languages of the earth and out of these millions of sermons, only one will be maintained and hoisted forever on top of the world in all the languages of the earth. All monarchs have political biases and there's no one immune to that but the thing is, under a constitutional monarchy framework, the king can express his thoughts or opinions about certain issues with the prime minister only in a private conversation. Doing so such as expressing a stance on a particular government policy or supporting a particular party, politician, or candidate in public would cause a constitutional crisis which would lead to the monarchy's downfall that's why they are careful in their words and actions. Even Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles may have had their own political preferences but they don't show it in their carefully-written speeches.

The truth is that many other chiefs were also nation building during this time. There was no such thing as the basotho before Lesotho was formed. The etymology of basotho actually refers to skin color: ba sotho as in the brown ones. Most of the clans that are part of Lesotho today have origins in the greater parts of South Africa.
