The longest-serving Malaysian prime minister, Dr Mahathir held office twice from 1981 to 2003 and 2018 to 2020, respectively. During Mahathir's first tenure as prime minister, Malaysia experienced a period of rapid modernisation and economic growth, and his government initiated widespread industry privatisation and a series of bold infrastructure projects. Mahathir sought to restore the rule of law by reopening investigations into corruption and implementing financial reform by cutting spending on large infrastructure projects in his second term.

Since young I always like to hear Tun giving speech ..on anything ...I dont know why...either in BM or English. I will sit infront of the TV and watch until it finish. No matters what others say about him but to me he is a true leader. So much wisdom when he gave a speech.
