My wife and I had identical twin boys born in 1978. One of our boys is a welder/fabricator who builds the big tanker trucks. He has been doing this job for 26 years. His brother was a tool and die designer. It was a great job but every year he would get laid off for about 2 months, so he decide to go back to college and get a degree in respiratory therapy. He graduated at the top of his class and got a job at one of the hospitals nearby. His favorite job was working in the emergency room. He came down with a bad cough and went to the doctor. He was told he had bronchitis and was given a prescription. this was on Thursday. I called him on Friday and he was not feeling any better. I should have taken the bull by the horns right then! I told him to get his butt back to the doctor who was only a quarter of a mile from his house. That was the last time I ever talked to him. I don't know if he got back to the doctor or not. On Saturday morning, his wife and kids went grocery shopping and he was in bed resting and watching TV. When they got back home, our grandson ran in to see his daddy, but he was back out to the car in a minute, telling his mom that he couldn't wake up his daddy. She went in and found him passed away. When they did the autopsy, the doctors found that he had severe pneumonia in both lungs. He and his brother had suffered from asthma since they were 4 years old. The doctor had never ordered an X-ray. If he had, our son would still be here. this all happened in April of 2015. We miss him so badly. I talk to him when I am working in my shop. My wife and I go to visit him a lot at the cemetery and even after all this time, we both breakdown and hang on to each other. I know exactly what Dennis is going thru when you lose a child! All the prayers in the world won't bring him back. He left a son who looks exactly like him and even acts like him and we love him so much. His daughter looks like him too and we love her to pieces. It's been a;most 9 years now and we still carry on as if he is still with us. Love you to the moon and back, Chad Russell!

Of all the car shows that has been on TV there's only one shop worse than Gas Monkey, which was Misfit Garage and Richard had his fingers in that as well 🤣 All of Richard's big builds, when the show first started, looked like Dennis flicked Richard the deals and majority of the time funding them. Only thing keeping Richard going these days is his merchandising sales and his used car salesmanship of flicking cars that Dennis doesn't want and flicks on to his mate. Both Dennis and Tomas Weeks know more about cars then Richard ever will.
Dennis was a successful business man long before Gas Monkey Garage. His dealership Collins Brothers Jeep was founded in 1984 almost twenty years before GMG came out in 2002. Dennis was already quite wealthy before Rawlings came into money and fame.
Ummm wrong Dennis Collins is a trust fund kid from his dad‘s $35 million fortune starting back in the 80s his career life and business have all been financed by his dad who I think since has passed so now it’s all his money how else do you think he could have mass, the cars and all of the cars that he has bought in the last 35 years from a mom and Pop Jeep used car dealership?
