Great episode. I like when you can feel the tension in the air. Unlike Dennis, Richard throws numbers out. Dude was outnumbered 3 to 1. I bet he wishes they were his cars to sell. He seemed pretty tense.

RR is a businessman. Deep pockets shouldn't mean paying the asking price when he's clearly not going to be keeping them. If the guy who's selling them doesn't need the money, he just wants to give the cars a new home, never bite the hand that feeds, especially when the cars are just sitting there, potentially going rusty or mechanically bad. RR knows his business. He's been doing it long enough to know what makes money and what's just not worth it, and to walk away.
He basically said, "Too much money for what he can sell it for here". Implying it'd be worth more somewhere else. But then he'd have to pay export taxes, plus whatever the country he shipped it to charged, etc.

There are retailers and flippers and sometimes reality kicks in and they meet in the middle. Not quite sure what the future market holds for collectable gasoline cars and where the crunch timeline is?
You won't believe this but there was a split window setting next door to me with out its wheels on blocks but at the time it wasn't unusual but it was still a corvette.
Tony has learned a lot since he has been with Gas Monkey his knowledge is very good -- only guessing they buy the vette hopefully the 350 but only guessing so guess we have to wait a week to find out lol
My wife just inherited her dads stash of 70s ford trucks cars broncos vans and motors out the rear having a hard time figuring out the value of everything and people are trying to take advantage of the fact we don’t know much about what things are selling for
Coming from a car dealer family I have this to say. What a bunch of pricks, all showing up to bully the seller. The one dude goes to compliment the restoration of the MG and is cut off by the other dude. As if to say, don't say anything nice about the cars. I haven't watched the end of the video yet but I'm going to say No Deal. This is a master class in how not to approach purchasing classic cars from their owners.

Think you was right on with the prices. Lots of work on several of the cars. The price on the vette I think is ok. Maybe a little low but you've got to buy low to make a profit. Love the show

This is why I would never sell a collector car to a car flipper. The guy said it at the end. He wants to buy cars at wholesale so he can turn around and sell them at retail while people like me and the guy with that collection want to be the one selling their car at retail...not wholesale. Why should a person who isn't desperate for cash hold on to a rare car for years and then finally sell it for half its potential value so the new buyer can be the one to make a nice quick profit?

Finally back to what we expect out of Richard and have been looking for. This is worth watching. Love it when you reach out to Dennis Collins.
