- The birth of the Point By Patrol's endurance engine! 9k RPM capable with a bottom end built for up to 850hp! Of course I won't be pushing it that hard ;)
Went the route of a short block for a few reasons...For example...learning! Also saved a few bucks and likely owe a few buddies some beers after this one!
All parts sourced by Two Step Performance. Fo' real doe', if you haven't checked them out, then are you really a car enthusiast? Click on my custom link and go shopping!

Machining courtesy of 4Piston! No seriously...they didn't do me any favors, but damn they're awesome!

Stock bore 2.0L 4Piston block with Wiseco Pistons, 4Piston I-beam rods, and ACL race bearings. Brandy new cylinder head loaded with Ferrea valves, valve springs, retainers, and locks. Stock porting.
Slammed all of this together with ARP Extreme 625+ studs!
27Won Kuro Turbo to blow your little house down! I chose this because it's a dual ball bearing turbo, which means it spools faster!!!
Wow, what a project! You're brave for taking it on. Looking forward to seeing more.
Great work! Can't wait to see where this one takes you.
Hell yeah, dude!
Awesome Video!!! Tempted to trade in my Accord Sport 2.0 for a CTR 😅
Do it
Def do it
I have both. The fl5 is worth the upgrade.
Do it! It’s crazy how they’re damn near the same size. So much space. So much fun
I'm contemplating that as well trading my 22 Accord 2.0T for FL5.
I know, it would have been a long video but, I would have loved to watch that in normal speed just to learn. Great video though. Thanks,
@@rookiegarageRC I wish we could have too. Would have been 13 hours long! The camera batteries died long before the job was completed!
Why no chassis or suspension modifications? With such a love for the track I'm surprised that's not a focus of the build.
The Type R chassis/suspension in it's bone stock form is actually quite incredible. Those mods are last on my list for now. I adjust my alignment for track days, and thats about it. Money is also a big factor, the suspension changes that I would love to have would cost at least 8,000 dollars.
@pointbypatrol I understand. Did the opposite and spent on chassis and suspension. The car is incredible now. Stay safe and good luck 👍
@@benbrockton What did you go with?
@pointbypatrol basically just recreated the spoon fl5. Rv6 camber, caster and toe suspension parts along with sway bar. spoon ridged collars and KW v3. 18x 9.5 265 /35r sitting on regamaster wheels. It's jailbreak and hondata turned. It's incredibly balanced.
I need friends with skills 😅
