The Haynes manual suggests leaving the master cylinder connected and pumping out the pistons (two at a time) with it. Makes sense if you don't have access to compressed air.
That's a good way as well. It does get a little complicated once you have one side out. Piston pliers work well if you do not have a compressor. I plan on uploading a video in the next few days to go over that way as well. Thanks for the tip.
Thank you so much for this video. I've just doing this and it helped a lot! Amazing videos, hope there will be more :) Btw do you know maybe does seals from some other models fits also? Thank you!
You can remove them with a blue dot caliper tool. Cost about £15. No need to replace them but if you remove them there is a seal that will need replacing before installation.
Thank you for getting back to this answer. You are absolutely correct. There is no real need to replace other than to change the color. These came in a few color variations. Good luck
There is, it's noticeable hard to mix up once you see the new seals. There are 2 sizes as well, which both have an orientation to them. Hope this helps.
Hi received the kit today but i cant seem to find the right orientation. Feels like a small lip but looks the same. How did you find the right orientation on the new seals ?
great instructions. judging by the honey its been awhile for clean fluid
Yeah, no telling how long. I just acquired the bike. This is always the first step I take. Brakes need to work perfectly.

Thanks. I'm not sure if other seals would work or not.
See those two silver star-shaped things on the calipers? What are they, and can they be replaced?

You've no clue how to strip a caliper.
I'm happy to learn a better way. Send me the link to your video. Thanks
Is there an orientation for the seals ? I heard something about a lip ? How do you know which way to install ?
