2005 Millville 250cc AMA Motocross Championship (Round 9 of 12)

This is round 9 of the 2005 250cc AMA Motocross Championship presented by FMF from Spring Creek Motocross Park in Millville, MN.
Returning contenders like 2004 runner-up Chad Reed, 2-time runner-up Kevin Windham, John Dowd, David Vuillemin, Heath Voss, Michael Byrne, Nick Wey, Ernesto Fonseca, 250cc rookie and 2-time 125cc champ James Stewart, 2002 runner-up Tim Ferry, and 5-time defending 250cc MX champ Ricky Carmichael battle it out for the 2005 250cc AMA Motocross Championship presented by FMF. This series is dominated once again by Ricky Carmichael. This race is well known for Ricky Carmichael sponsoring John Dowd to celebrate Dowd's 40th birthday, which was earlier that week. Team Honda's Travis Preston scores his best ever moto finish with a 3rd in moto #1, and so does PPG Suzuki rider Matt Goerke with a 4th place in moto #1. Watch a funny moment as Ernesto Fonseca's mechanic Kenny Germain accidentally hits Ernesto with the pitboard while coming through the mechanics area.

No doubt about it. Wasn't long ago he and John Dowd were going at it for the 125cc MX title in 1998 with Robbie Reynard getting in the fray at times, and RC came out on top because he was more consistent (save for a DNF at Southwick moto 1).
