Incredible playing from one of the greatest fusion drummers ever...and I thought he peaked with Weather Report lol. Just like all the greats, he keeps getting better with age.
peter is killing it here, love his style, so musical, the way he compliments what the other musicians are doing is amazing.. His DW kits sounded awesome but with his switch to Tama Star drums you can see in his playing that he has a fresh, new excitement and I think its because he has found his sound on the drums, you can see a new zeal in Peter, that's pretty cool and I see why, great drums!

I've been Blessed to have seen this Remarkable Musician and Drummer Play Our Instrument Of Choice Live. And he gets More Better with age. I Personally Like Peter's Sound when he was Playing Yamaha Recording Custom Drums. He, Gadd, Weckl and Vinnie C. All Played these Line of Drums.
to glen holloway- they are continuing with our great jazz tradition in europe while here in us the scourge and destruction of rap and hiphop with their monotone lack of melody and harmony are destroying our childrens musical futures . Pray for a rennaisance !
I'm not sure that's true but perhaps if it is maybe America let standards slip and let all those rock and metal bands take over. I must say that here in Italy (Milano) the jazz scene is MASSIVE and it costs me, a real jazz fan, a fortune in musical instruments and lessons for my son, concert tickets, travel and CDs and vinyl...
@@richardgeorgeallen6323 and what is the matter with rock and metal?? Rock and metal drummers almost always cite jazz drummers as big influences. The more variety in music the better 🤷🏻♂️
Also, a “real jazz fan”? The snobbery in some music circles is quite humorous to me 😂. Same type of ignorance is also prevalent in metal and punk scenes as well.

I always thought his sound on Yamaha was just perfect - but this is all personal preference. As always, and that's what counts, stellar playing!
