I thought that I had my dream house designed until you started building yours. I have now redesigned mine to add a huge pool as well. The sad part of it is that because I am disabled I will never be able to see it built. If I were to build it I would lose my medical assistance which would be catastrophic to my health. In addition to the injuries, (6 broken vertebrae in my back), I have heart issues, asthma, diabetes, and am a cancer survivor. My medicines cost in excess of $5,000 monthly. I really hate that i have had to give up on my dreams because I can no longer work for a living. It is great to see all of the wonderful things that Mike is doing with the house. I can only imagine how much he is spending on this build. My dream home has a price tag of around 1.1 million and contains a theater, pool, custom kitchen, all on one level with wheelchair access. There is even a ramp going down into the pool.

Thanks again Michael, for another update on the pool/house, And as with every other thing I've seen you build, THIS is SPECTACULAR !
And as I've been following this I've been wondering IF YOU actually get cracks in YOUR concrete, or if you've some how figured out how to eliminate even that?
Concrete IS VERY tricky stuff i think, and i have only built a relatively small foundation (40 feet long) for a ten foot high block wall on it, and about 20 feet (the SLC city engineers told me) had to be 2 feet deep and 4 feet wide, since that part ran over one of the Creeks that run thru town. (And in the short time that it was exposed above ground, I didn't see any cracks in that.) but it probably eventually did crack.. Something that has always puzzled me is how the people that build the huge industrial warehouses that are made out of concrete walls (poured into flat forms on the buildings floor and then craned into a standing position.) I've never seen cracks in those walls... And I've been in a lot of 'em. So how are they doing that ...??? I know that they put a LOT of rebar into them walls.
Do they put something special into the
    concrete mixture???
If you have any idea about this i hope you'll talk a little about it next time.
Thanks again, and we ALL ❤️🥰❤️ ya, "Brother" ! ! !

You're Nuts I LOVE IT! I hope you have a raffle or something to let some of us followers have the chance to come over and swim in your pool.

I absolutely love that this man is building his forever home and not just slapping up junk with the hopes it last the 5 yrs he needs until it's time to move again

I have seen and done "Overkill" a lot in my 61 years, I think there needs to be a whole new word for Mike's level of Overkill.
I am thinking "Patey Level Overkill"

Okay, this pool will be a "Wild pool" that is over engineered...
But, what about the rest of the house?
What is in store for it? A mega theater, a bowling alley, a fine dining restaurant kitchen with walk-in coolers and freezers?
A flight simulator? A wind tunnel or inside skydiving tunnel?
A master bedroom with sunken water bed and led, star lit sky that rotates with the earth?!
And has walk-in closets with padded benches and wall to wall mirrors with rotating shoe racks?
I can't imagine what you have designed for the rest....
It'll be awesome whatever you choose.
I am so excited for you and your family!
You always do everything the right way.
Thank you for sharing with us!

Remarkable project. I know 4 people that have had pools built that have been in them 3 times and never again.

I am amazed by the over engineering for this pool. I hope it's used a ton! I also worry about trying to sell this house in the future!

This is the kind of OVER-engineering that built this Great Nation. Wish all manufacturing today had your mindset! It would sure make all of our lives so much easier (Cheaper in the long run, too!). This is brilliance in action! Thanks for sharing, as always, Mike!

Spectaculair pool mikey! Just watch out for injury’s, those ledges are not scaffolded. In the Netherlands this wouldn’t be possible based on safety regulations.

Could also paint sikalastic on the whole crack after. In general, you want any repair in concrete to become the last layer of defense, and you add something in front.
