@@userunknown6428 you check them the same way, the high check is even more effective because the opponent is aiming for your body so they'll hit the check closer to your knee which hurts their shin more

You can also block body kicks dutch style with both arms, combine that with a regular check and your defence on that side should be pretty solid
he has not checked because petchtanong has timed the body kicks to when akimoto is about to strike forward (his weight is already forward)... he did check a few which were not well timed) that said, akimoto had not adjusted to what petchtanong was doing which was the same thing repeatedly. the elite thais would have caught on and done something

@@user-jj4lc2jd8j those words are from an old friend of my father. He, being an executive from a big japanese company has given us the pleasure to know Japan even without going there yet. As he mentioned while drinking sake, he said japan is amazing because in his culture we are taught to be like that: firm, steel-like piercing bullet. He said that we live in 2021 (back in that year) and japan would self-benefit for not being a steel-like bullet but a flexible chain. Meaning, not having a kamikaze attitude like he said laughing but being more like a chain that is so strong however can go around barriers instead of "like a bullet", unstoppable until of course something stops it.

Why do you think that? Petch was fine at the end of the fight, and Akimoto looked like a piece of meat. Petch checked almost every kick from Akimoto and was really contundent most of the fight. I don't think you watched the same as me bro.
