It's a nightmare situation. You know your opponent's game and there's nothing you can do against it. Even if breaking the distance is a viable strategy the dude can't move forward due to the kick's speed. Brutal.

I don't understand why the ref would urge that guy to fight when he's clearly done after he fell down the 4th time from leg kicks. I would wave it off and told him it's your loss because you are just taking damage and not defending effectively.

The art of eight limbs to me is the scariest striking martial arts style. I remember watching an 80s fight between a kickboxing champ and a muai Thai fighter. Needless to say the kickboxer was kicked till he couldn't stand anymore.

If all these fights happened before year 1988, where Changpuek (Muay thai) used basic low kicks to destroy Rick Roufus (American Kickboxing), I wouldnt blame these fighters for not knowing how devastating low kicks are. However this is 2023. Every fighter should already know it and be trained and conditioned for leg kicks. That's why Muay thai is a core foundation of striking in MMA.
It is a slow process but it seems that more people start conditioning their shins and kick with their conditioned shins. This is how you kick to damage your opponent.
I'm sorry, but one clean kick and you won't defend the rest. Your body would INSTANTLY feel worse and worse to the point of it only supporting you to stand up and walk a bit.
As a martial artist, there's 4 options to block a kick. It's to raise your leg a bit to endure most of the dmg, you just, take it all and expect your body to take it all, run TF away or receive it with your hand. The problem with these methods is if you already experienced a bone shattering kick, all options fail to work.
No matter how much you train your legs to endure kicks, there's ALWAYS that one time when your body suddenly reacts differently from a strong, fast and heavy clean kick.
Why call them ignorant fighters?

A lot of people have that bad habit to kick the bag with lower part of their shins and feet so it make that cracking sound when you connect which isn't good cause when real opponent check kick like that you'll f**k your foot up. So to prevent that you always should try to land with middle part of your shin which isn't making a lot of sound on the bag. Cause you can condition your shins to be more resistant to pain but that small bones in your feet never be that tough

Took a fairly hard kick to the inside of my right thigh a few years ago, didn't even see it coming. All of a sudden my leg just wouldn't work! Took a few weeks to recover from that, and it was only in sparring. Must have landed just on the right spot.

What can you do against these kind of strikes? Block, parry, evade? Is there an option select if they feint?
Thai fighters check these kicks, meaning they raise their leg and let the kick hits their shin/knee, so that although they eat the kick, the kicker suffers equal or more damage. Or some of them just eat the kick and throw something back (a head punch or a roundhouse), because the opponent takes a second to recover their balance after kicking. Or they could jump backward, like what Harrison did in the first clip.
