I love Yodsanklai. I think his handlers really screwed him by taking this fight. I don't think Petch is better - but after 2 losses, let him fight an up and comer, or at least a veteran fighter his size. I think if Yodsanklai would have had the confidence of a couple of wins behind him it could have been a different fight. He has fought the toughest there is for decades, and once you start getting hit more with age and ware on your body - things change. Petch deserves his win

Some reasons I really appreciate ONE. 💪🏼 Watch other channels and you'll see, the camera person does not cover the body of the fighter from the waist down (kicking is part of the game 🤦♂️)! I don't understand why this is okay with viewers.
Michael, the announcer is prolly the best announcer in today's sports industry! They've got a real gem there! Michael is not only knowledgeable but he's funnier than he has a right to be!
The fighters are young and hungry, ready to battle. No 'eye poke' is going to close the show.

Yodsanklai has always been very linear and stuck to a very traditionalist Muay Thai mindset in the ring and for years its paid its dues and its proven to be very effective in his career, but as he ages if he wants to remain at the top he's going to have to rely on his IQ more than just brute resilience and power cause that goes with age, i'd like him to start taking alot more angles and slipping shots and employing some faints in his game while being more methodical with his placement and combinations, he's always been a pressure fighter who just expects his opponent to crumble with eventual weight of his kicks and power shots and they usually do but at this level he's gonna have to think outside of the box ... These guys aren't going to just stand there and trade with you anymore, you gotta get crafty.
That is why the white fighters will dominate the Thai fighters. Because white fighters use old school Muay Thai techniques rather than brute strength and posture. Old school techniques look almost like Muay boran, which is a complete system.

Yodsanklai should've thrown a leg kick after petch kept catching all those body shots and countering. It might've been worth a try.
he still did the most damage, he kept targeting the arm to wear it down and petch could not catch so much in later rounds
Petchmorakot Petcyindee Academy is lucky that Yodsanklai Fairtex is old and that this is the last fight for Yod .
If Yodsanklai Fairtex was in his second peak ( starting with the Kem Sitsongpeenong fight till the Dzabar Askerov fight so from late 2012 till late 2015 ) then Yodsanklai would KO Petchmorakot in less than 20 seconds and send Petch to the ICU .
If Yodsanklai was in his first peak ( starting with the Samkor Kiatmonthep fight where Yod won the 154 lbs belt till the Khalid Bourdif fight so from late 2005 till late 2009 ) then no one will make Yodsanklai vs Petchmorakot because Petch can lose his life if those two fought each other .
Even Yodsanklai who wasn't serious ( starting with the loss against Vuyisile Colossa in their third fight till the Vladimir Moravcik fight so from the start of 2010 till the middle of 2012 ) can KO Petchmorakot in only 1 round .
Petchmorakot at 70 KG is easy compared to the guys that Yodsanklai used to fight in his first peak or even his second peak .
Even the old , declined , past his prime , injured , no heavy kick , no strong clinch game , no chin , no balance , wash up , just got demolished twice back to back Yodsanklai Fairtex in this video almost KOed Petch in the first round and arguably won this fight on point lol .
I agree with you .... If Yod had been younger it would have been really hard for Petch. Each match is determined by the age, physical and mental state of each athlete. Yod until a few years ago was a beast .. See for example the match with Marat Grigorian ...
@@cosmoromanazzi3615 Yes but after the Dzabar Askerov fight in late 2015 Yod retired because his left knee is broken and made a comeback in 2017 but he was never the same .
From 2017 and onward he couldn't hard kick , hard knee , no strong clinch game , no balance and his chin was terrible .
He was a shadow of even his non-serious self ( 2010 till middle 2012 ) let alone his two peaks of 2005-2009 and late 2012 - late 2015 .
Yodsanklai since 2017 is like 30% of the fighter that he was in his second peak and is like 10% of the fighter that he was in his first peak .
Even a non-serious Yodsanklai from 2010 till middle 2012 would crush the 2017-2020 Yodsanklai in 1 round max .
@@cosmoromanazzi3615 The Yodsanklai of the Marat fight was the Yodsanklai in his second peak ( late 2012 till 2015 ) so yeah this Yodsanklai was in his second golden age .
Yod is too slow and too weak to fight at this level any more. It's heartbroken to see him in this condition but this is life and he shouldn't comeback for the second time. T T

I think yod was more effective than petch. Petch power doesn't effect to yod even though he had more action and he got swollen face and looks got tired in last two round. However, yod could have more chances to win if he put more punches in 4 & 5th round.
Watch the first couple of rounds again. I love Yod but he eats some pretty big elbows spaced out on a fairly consistent basis + some hard crosses. That's why he can't finish and gets tied up in the clinch like that towards the end. Tough fight but Thais rarely go for the kill too hard anyway especially at the end.

Can we stop breaking the clinch up after 2 seconds please. This is muay thai. It’s plenty exciting to see knees, elbows, and dumps in the clinch. It’s not kickboxing

petchmorakot still not enough to be Thailand best fighter.. he will not stand a chance if Yod same age with him.. he skill fighting in Muay Thai still low.. and all the legendary thiland fighter.. never run around in the ring.. and have the remarkable strength.. but unfortunately petchmorakot.. always getting tired.. and the kick.. even 35 years old yod have better kick then him.. there are hundred fighters in thiland better then him.. but dont know why there sent this boring fighter who always getting exhausted.. 😑
This screaming advisor of unbearable nature must be silenced or removed form a corner. This is not a street brawl and there are advising times in between the rounds. So annoying.
