Around 40 years ago I saw Pat Benatar live in OC MD. “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” was just becoming a hit. She must have still been contracted with small venues. The club was built to hold a couple hundred, at least 500 of us were packed in there. Luckily a friend had connections with club owners. We skipped the line and we’re given a table inches from the stage. Wow, great night, great memories. Loved it! Thanks Pat.

I'm 54 years old and have been playing guitar for 41 of those years and going to concerts for at least 43. While I am a devotee of players like Clapton, I have always respected the energy that Neil brings to his performances coupled with good technical ability. His playing and Pat's singing are truely symbiotic; they fit like hand in glove.

If you put on a really good pair of headphones and listen to the opening of this song with the volume up, this is one of the best concert recordings I have ever heard in my life. It literally sounds like you're in the concert instead of that typical tinny kind of sound or completely fake sound like it was totally digitally redone

I was at this concert, it was at The Veterans Memorial Coliseum in New Haven Connecticut on December 19th 1982. The concert was fantastic and filmed in it's entirety for HBO. Benatar was SMOK'IN that night.

I just made my first solo trip back to my hometown in over 27 years. I had a lot of anxiety before and during it so, I listened to a Pat on repeat to give me plenty of sass and bravery. Thanks to lots of music and mocha I had a blast.
Benatar Giraldo were clearly a great pairing. Musically speaking, he was the perfect player: hard driving, chunky rock guitar with the skills to add in interesting creative solos. Of course she had the voice, the presence, and the ability to combine them in a way that made each song their own. Rock on.
Heard an interview with Ms. Benatar a few years ago. She admitted she despises this song and hates playing it. But... as she said, it has paid for every car and every house she has ever owned and put her kids through college. So she sings it any time fans want to hear it. Total professionalism.
