Thank you ! You have been so helpful ! I own a ford focus 2018 mk 3 from new, has 61000 miles on clock. When you recommend should I change the timing belt and water pump ? Thank you again.
Just to let you know, after sorting p0444. There was still a problem and seemed to be a corrosion on wires inside the car. Caused by water in foot well.
Good tip thanks. Had one or two of those eco BOOM engines in for general service fiesta and focus and I have to say for such a small unit they certainly push out an impressive amount of power and refined cruising on the motorway 👍
Thanks Kev! yeah nice little motors really.. not had to do a timing belt on one yet but the early models will soon be coming up 10 years old so soon expect to start doing them 😬 book time suggests its engine out jobby 😖
Hi how are you I have a Ford focus eco-cost in South Africa and I’m facing the problem of missing when we put tax later so he’s missing so is that the same problem of this low fuel pump I will be another problem thanks for helping
Hey chap Mrs car has the exact same symptoms other than it doesn't bring up and eml, so I'm gonna replace this sensor but I just wondered whether you could confirm part number as the one linked says its for a mondeo and ford direct seem useless for finding out the oe part number. Thanks
Good video👍🏼im having stalling problems with my focus it cuts out when stopping at lights sometimes and seems to be using a bit to much fuel. Weird thing is is that it isn’t throwing no codes up at all🤷
Hmm always tricky when there’s no codes , first thing I’d do Is look through all the engine ecu data see if anything looks amiss! Especially temperature readings
hi, Bought a 1.0 125ps mk3 titanium 2012 for my son to mess about with as he`s going to collage soon "he`s 16" , Previous owner went out in it and everything was fine, then all of a sudden it just stopped, engine died and would not start again. Was towed it back home and started to try different things to why it will not start. We have fuel from low pressure as can hear the pump prime also unbolted the high pressure pipe to make sure fuel was getting to the pump, that was fine.. We did get a low pressure rail code and changed the hi pressure sensor, did nothing! but the code didnt come back!. Then we took one of the spark plugs out to make sure there was spark.. and yes its fine. Today we are going to take off the high pressure pump and swap it with my one that works as I have the same car just newer 2016 just to try and find a reason for it not to start. Also just a piece of mind took the rocker cover off to make sure the belt was ok and at least still in place to make sure the cams were ok.. they move :) I know the high pressure pump is driven by the cam so hopefully when we take it off the cams not in 2 parts, then Ill know the reason the pump was not working. When the car is cranking you do smell fuel so its coming from somewhere. Its strange how one minute it was running then just stopped with no error codes. Now it has no codes but just not starting.. totally baffled..!
@@thegrizzlygang5002 nope not yet, im going to do a compression test when i get the time and see what all the cylinders are coming up with. Might just take it apart for the fun of it if nothing else and sell all the parts. As its just sitting there taking space atm. As dont know anyone that can have a look at it.
Please can you help me, we have an ecoboost and it broke down a few weeks ago after basicly coming to a stop, with the engine light on and oil light on, and hasn't started since, and everyone keeps saying we need a new engine and belt, im so confused as we have only done 56000 thousand miles
Thanks for video. I'm getting all the codes you had plus P0088 Fuel Pressure Regulator Control Circuit Do you think I need to replace the Regulator or just try the Low Pressure Sensor first?
I'm chasing this fault currently. When data logging the low pressure sensor and the bogging and power cutting appears, it still shows consistent fuel pressure. Was this the case with you as well?
@@diydaly I was reading the low pressure sensor. It was pretty consistent at 0.6bar, even when running rough. I unplugged the sensor, and now it gives a reading of 0.7bar because it doesn't measure anything. The problem hasn't occured since then, been about 30 kilometers since I unplugged it. It's weird how the high pressure sensor dips when the faulty sensor is the low pressure sensor.
@@Cydro12 .7 must be the default setting , yes it is odd mate .. I’ve replaced quite a few pumps now , 2 low pressure sensors and 2/3 high pressure sensors

@@diydaly this ain't the same as the one on my kids 14 plate zetec s 1.0 .I'm guessing the low pressure is either the pump on top or the one in the tank.
