If you guys heard the girl was the half sister to the little boy, whose father is Dinkins. He was 17 when he was convicted. I'm hoping she didn't know due to the fact he was 17 and possibly the record was not easily accessible due to being a minor. Cause that would be diabolical, so I'm hoping she never knew due to committing that crime prior to adulthood.

@QueenofKings-mh7zn Exactly. I don't believe she knew. I know we've seen so many women either thrown caution out the window for the love of a man or just simply do wrong by their kids but she seemed to be a loving woman who thought the father of her son and step dad to her daughter wouldn't be a monster.

his record is from when he was a minor, it would be sealed and not sow up even is she did a background check on him. He is the biological father of her brother, it's not uncommon for a stepparent to take both takes when they split. My ex fiance and I use to have his kid and two step kids over whenever it was his weekend because the other two younger kids always wanted to go with their brother, mom was ok with it and it would've been a hole of us to say no we don't want the step kids, he treated all 3 kids the same which I admired.

When the 8 year old boy said he was checking on his sister to make sure dad wasn't doing anything to her was a huge red flag for me. When I was a little girl, my dad would always tell me to “be careful” at sleepovers. He wanted to know if my friends ‘ dads would be there, and if my friends had brothers. @@godsownson2469I believe what the person is trying to convey is that, when the guy actually said that the little girl is not his biological daughter, however, that was still his baby girl or whatever....I suppose they're implying that his even mentioning the fact that she wasn't his biological daughter, comes off a little suspicious even tho it's true. Most parents that have helped practically raise a child, and who considers that other child their own, usually don't go around throwing that biological word around. It's like, oh, so, because she's not your biological daughter, you shouldn't have to, necessarily, be held accountable??? That's where the sounding/ automatic looking guilty comes in. The way he said it, and the fact that he even said it....makes him sound suspicious....he really could've kept that to himself, if he really considered her to be" his "baby girl" or whatever. Just like some children that consider their "step parents", as their main parents, usually don't go around using "step" ....unless that's not the case. Hope that somewhat clears it up.

This whole situation is flush with horror and heartaches. I can't get close to imagining what this little girl & her family went through. As an avid truecrime fan - with extreme anxiety - I will always try to find something within a story to be a silver lining or at least bring a second of reprieve via levity, anything to hold my head above water so to speak while watching. This time for me it was how caught off guard I was when D.L. spoke at trial. We watched & heard him go from a scared, worried frustrated little boy to a strong, determined young man in such a brief span of time. His vocal tone shocked me back to focus. I hope he and their Mama are healing well & know that they are in the thoughts and hearts of strangers everywhere. ❤ from Missouri.

He's a master manipulator, I'm sure he didn't tell her about his previous child SA conviction. • @finchvalor

Oh yeah they know that their clients are guilty AF, but ultimately it doesn't matter. The job is designed for it to not matter. Everyone is entitled to a zealous defense by law according to our system. As long as the lawyers are abiding by the law, and they are doing their best to defend their clients within the bounds of the law and within the bounds of ethics, they have nothing to feel bad about. It's when lawyers go beyond ethics or beyond the law that they should be feeling guilty. Some lawyers have absolutely done this, and I'm not sure why they do especially when they know their client is guilty. Like those lawyers who will go on television to spread some propaganda about their client who everyone knows is guilty. I'm not sure why lawyers are allowed do that when it's so unethical and purely done out of greed.
