Just wanted to come on here and say that with my A3, I use your videos as the de facto reference material for mods I plan on doing. Not only are you straight forward, you have a very chill demeanor which is fantastic compared to some of the other TH-camrs with over the top intros and loud obnoxious personalities. The information you show is very concise and you never leave a detail out. You don't hype any particular brand and you stick with what you know. This is the right way to present information and I really appreciate it. I bought my H&R Sports just a couple weeks ago and have been waiting to find time to actually do them. It wasn't until you posted this update video that I was sold on them because this is just proof enough of the results. Once again man, awesome freaking video, love how the car has been turning out over these months and I'm glad to be apart of that journey!
Brandon, wow man that's probably the nicest comment anyone has left on here. That is very kind of you sir! Thank you for the positive feedback and checking out the videos! @@savagepandaprojects Thanks man! I've had the setup in for about a year now and couldn't be happier. I was running the H&R sport springs for a while but started having issues with noise from the front strut mount/strut. Decided at that point to go full coilover setup and I love it
I bought some oem replacement prebuilt suspension from 1A auto about a year or so ago and I just bought today the H&R sport springs definitely excited to install as soon as they come in
I've been trying to decide on Sport or SS for a few weeks now. Thanks for the video. If my 2018 A3 Premium will have the ride height of yours in the video..I'll be happy with the Sports.
Great video, i just got my Megan racing lowering springs installed on my A3 and I’m digging the stance of the car now... just need a more aggressive look at the front
Great videos and content! I´m about to install an Eibach Pro-Kit Coilovers (moderate 25-30mm) in my VW T-Roc 2.0 TSI 4Motion 250 HP by MTM because of my recent experience with both of my earlier VW Golf VI and VII GTD´s. My T-Roc is currently equipped with VW OEM Sport Coilovers and DCC which is ok but I need some better handling qualities
Hey bro, do you have any recommendations for rear brake kits for this car? I have the same color and car just the non S-line spec, love the progress on yours 💪🏾
Thanks for the kind words! For the rear brakes there are really not many options out there. Have you already upgraded the front? That is where I would start first
@@savagepandaprojects planning on doing the same ecs bbk you had installed a while back on the front, didnt find a rear brake kit but stoptech makes a drilled rotor and break pad set that i think i might go with!
Nice Video... I am about to have abt lowering springs 0.9 in front 0.8 rear which I believe are rebranded H&R. Also got the Abt anti roll bar kit which I believe is rebranded H&R. Just using as my daily ..based the suspension off the Abt TTRS-R model. Thx about the aftermarket strut ? ... I'm thinking of sticking with the springs for a year or two. Car is 3 years old with 17k miles... Springs to be installed soon .. will get back to you with thoughts
I literally got a set of H & R installed yesterday on my 16 A3 premium and it looks great. But do you think it’s ok if I wait until the springs settle before getting an alignment? I just wanna cut cost as best as possible😂.
@Flipgurujn I think that's what I ended up doing. But I got three alignments done. Did one at a little shop just to make sure the car isn't too off. The second one I did I brought it to Audi (which was a waste of money). The third one, my car was rear ended and I took it to Audi to fix it and they did the alignment as a complimentary job.
I just picked up a 17 A3 and was torn between h&r sports vs ss. Thought the car has 38k miles on it. I do plan for air ride way down the line and wonder if the sports would be alright on my stock 38k suspension while I wait to save for bags. Lmk what you think!
Hey pal. Just wanna ask if you’ve used H&R 40 mm or 30 mm. I really wanna used one for my A3 Sline.but I don’t want slammed. Im gonna copy your ride height.
I have a Q5 and would like to lower it just a bit, but don’t want sacrifice comfort. The stock suspension on Q5 is already stiff enough, maybe too stiff. Also thinking of Eibach. What do you think? Visually I saw that both Eibach and HnR have more spins in the spring, which should theoretically mean they are longer rods and hence softer, but there are also materials hardness and rod thickness that also affect the stiffness
Thanks guys but maybe a second opinion here? Here is the specs found i tech data for each HR and Eibach front/rear: -Wire diam HR 16/13mm - Eibach 16.25/13.75 -coils HR 7/9.4 - Eibach 6.5/8 -untensioned length HR 285/325mm - Eibach 281/328mm -ext diameter HR 144/121mm - Eibach 141/125 -lowering HR 40mm - Eibach 30/25mm So by all specs HR has thinner wire, more twists, larger external diameter, longer untentioned, compresses more. So it seems it should be slightly softer than Eibach?

About 6 hrs plus alignment
