4 yeas of Apr stage 2 since 200 miles. 91 octane tune for daily and e85 tune for drag racing and track days. 0 issues in all this time or the need to change any car part . Love my rs3! Best car I owned .

Have a stage 3 ea888 gen3 skoda love my 2.0t Just got myself a 2023 rs3 and must say that DAZA motor I must say the VAG are on the ball the last 7 years or so.

What’s up man! I notice you’re still responding to comments so I’d figured I ask for some tips on lowering my 2020 A3. I have a premium FWD version. I’ve been checking out the 034 springs and these H&R springs. My car is completely stock, is in great condition, only 38k miles. I’ve asked on reddit and the majority of people on there recommend coilovers over springs, a bunch of them complaining that the springs ruin their stock shocks. I’m just a chill guy too, just daily drive, don’t race or do anything crazy. What do you think? Are you still running the lowering springs on this car?

Love my 2013 S6 but I recently spent 15k and an Audi/VW shop for the following: Front Control Arms (all 8), Alignment, Diag HVAC, Vent, Diag Coolant Leak, Diag Engine Light, Diag Oil Leak, Rear Pads/Rotors, 155k Service (5k, cabin filter, DSG Service, Spark Plugs), Oil Cooler, Thermostat Housing, AC Service, P3 Gauge They were pretty content with the the way the car was running but after pulling the plugs they found an injector was pissing fuel. 12k quote to change all the plugs and any associated parts to pull the engine out to replace the injectors.

I am having Arteon 206kw 2017 model for last 4 plus years and it comes with DSG transmission in Australia. You could have titled the video as problem in US market. I have not problems with the car and it's absolutely one of the best daily driver sporty fasback. It's better than most of the sedans at the same price point out there. The car has crossed 70k kms and have not had a single problem.

Everyone needs to stop with the dog bone and insert. Thats a broke azz wayto fix a problem thats going to cause more problems. You need to replace the center puck mount with a firmer one and doing just a rear sway bar is just lazy. Do that puck mount and front sway bar at the same time and you may as well just do locking collars and lower control arms well your at it.

I have a A3 with stage 2+ and crackle tune with catless downpipe and a 3" straight pipe. Ill be 62 next month. Granted its not my daily, its so much fun i drive it every chance i get.

Do you have an exhaust leak? I dont have cats on my project and i dont smell it unless im outside it. I also only drive it once a week.

My nephew is my helper and he thinks a straight exhaust is the cats ass but I'm in my late 30s. I keep telling him that his 15year old ears loves it but wait until he's my age. It gets old.

I'm 43. The secret for a nice sound with a downpipe is good exhausts. Make a good exhaust, specially the mufflers and you'll be fine.

44 here, with an ESS G1 E92 M3 slick dash and manual. I still find more joy in this vs the F80 M3 comp DCT I own. What happens too are the regulations, the root is deeper- I’ve had less restrictions where we live compared to CA every two years and all the hassle mentioned. You are speaking the truth in many ways yet also considering regulations that hampered even the most sensible mods these days. Stay enthused

Theres definitely a trend on the used market where somebody will mod up a car to the point that it's a pain to live with every day, then sell it. So you definitely aren't alone in that line of thinking. Catless downpipes and slightly aggressive cams seem to be the point where people decide to keep on the modding train it or sell it. As I've gotten older, the more I can appreciate how a lot of vehicles are in stock form or lightly modified in a tasteful manner with high quality parts that retain OEM functionality.

I used to own and operate Agtronic Motorsport (do an image search with that to see the work) where we specialized in custom turbo kits, exhaust and cages. The thing I hated doing the most was making catless downpipes / setups for cars that had no power. I tried to reason with customers but for some reason it seemed to be the first thing many people thought of as a first mod, as if it would unlock 100 hp right off the bat. Is there anything more annoying than a slow car that is also loud and smells up the whole area? I’ve had catless setups myself when I had big turbo setups, and I hated it even when I was a young punk. I can’t do the smell. There is nothing worse than showing up to some place where normal humans go and smelling like you shower with used motor oil.

i have a catless down pipe c7.5 s6. the only time it smells in the cabin is if the air is on without the a/c on. if i could smell it at all times i would get rid of them. in my particular county i don’t have to do inspections on my vehicle and am exempt from emissions, otherwise i also wouldn’t deal with the hassle of taking them off and putting them back on every year. the power and sounds that comes from them are great but its not worth it for everyone

The jpipe was something I was putting off for a while for my VB WRX. Installation was a nightmare and I hate it for that, but it made the sound from the UEL headers I installed much more pronounced and I love it for that. So far car runs smooth and I'm not smelling much of anything. Plus the car is pretty quite when I want it to be despite deleting 2 of the 4 mufflers and swapping the other two for resonators. Like, yeah it's loud, but it's not obnoxious.

I'm 28, and I just got myself a ND MX-5. First upgrade I made was thicker, adjustable swaybars. Wow did that ever make a world of difference to clean up body roll. Now, THAT'S a good upgrade. Doesn't make the car drone like a cheap exhaust, doesn't cause CEL or inability to pass DEQ, makes cornering top tier while not affecting ride height or ride quality.

I feel sorry for people who need to remove a mod for inspection. Luckily, here where I am people just need to make sure glass mirrors tires and lights are good.

You can’t go fast with a cat..

I'm in my 30s now, and I've grown to despise the noise that a big downpipe produces - no the sheer volume out of the tailpipe, but the cabin resonance that's inherently produced by any large-volume chamber with exhaust running through it. I've gone from a 4" downpipe to a 4" downpipe with a cat, to a 4" to 3" downpipe, to now having a single 3" downpipe with a resonator and cat immediately off the turbo to damper any noise before it goes into the transmission tunnel, and thus makes noise in the cabin. Sure, I'm probably losing 100+ horsepower by restricting the exhaust so much (big turbo LS pushing 20+ pounds), but at least I can drive the car without my eardrums bleeding within 30 minutes. I've learned as I've gotten older that faster doesn't mean more fun, and by extension, I've learned that driving a car with pleasant acoustics and 800hp is a lot more enjoyable than driving a car that makes my ears bleed with 900hp. I still like a car that makes a decent noise, and I don't even mind loud cars, it's specifically the cabin acoustics of a large downpipe that I can't stand. It's a noise that rattles around in your head. Realistically, the best of both worlds comes from a pneumatic cutout - opens and bypasses the exhaust when at WOT, but closed and fully muffled through a small downpipe when just cruising around.

Downpipes are tricky even when the car is properly tuned to accommodate them. I had a catted one on an STI and even with a dyno tune it was throwing CELs every day until the engine eventually blew, but it made a ton more power while I had it installed lol

I actually dont know how people pass emissions in a lot of states. There's a lot of funky stuff people do to get by having CEL's which is typica on catless, even on catted. 1. I hate have a CEL on the dash. 2. It wont pass inspection in my state so people ride around with expired inspection or have a secret "guy" that no one else has. 3. It is so loud, on a WRX for example that I Feel like you need resonators just to prevent highway drone which may or may not be built into the cat-back which is expensive as-is, GESI downpipes are hit-miss for CEL's and the catted ones with just 1 turbo are like $1000 without a 300-500 dollar re-tune and then you'll want supporting mods to make it count. Lots of downsides. The upside is you can get a 30+ HP boost, thats 1 upside.

I tell myself this every other week lmao. Im still putting downpipes on my m4😂
