    Wish I had seen this live! I use peppermint essential oil for headaches. I don't eat it but put a drop on my temples (be careful not to get it in your eyes and wash your hands after applying it) and on the upper part of my neck or back of my head. Seriously, it works and there aren't any side effects (unless it gets in your eyes, then ow!)

    I have been WFPB since 2018. I have noticed that I do not have any muscle pain after working out at the gym. I'm 57 and have never felt better or stronger in my life 🥦🥦

    I have plain yogurt with a serving of fruits before B/fast. I sprinkle cinnamon, tumeric, B/pepper and ground ginger on top. I put a few cloves and dried orange or tangerine peel in my tea. ☕🫐🍇🍌🍓🍚

    I do that smoothie every morning,been doing it for years.Just add a slice of pineapple,4-5 florets of broccoli,a couple of large leaves of red cabbage,a palmful of walnuts(raw),a tablespoon of pumpkin seeds and a tablespoon of ground flax.I leave out the cinnamon though,too strong on the flavour.

    Per my veterinarian, my dog takes turmeric for arthritis in her hips, I get a supplement that also has Boswelia added.

    If you add turmeric to any savory type dish , beans, rice, anything you won’t even taste it . I even put it in my salad because I use balsamic vinegar on it. Always add a little pepper to it maximizes the turmeric effect.

    I live in St. Louis and I never knew there was a plant based center here!!!! I've felt pretty alone out here with this way of eating and in so happy that there is a place like that so close to me

    I really wish I had know that much earlier in my life. I trained a lot as a Contemporary dancer but always had to fight sore muscles ( without knowing what can be done with foods and spices and omega 3’ s and antioxidants .... 🍀💚🐸

    Absolutely I do everyday on my yogurt putting organic turmeric Ceylon cinnamon Chia seeds ginger powder and ground black pepper always feel healthy and no pain and headaches🇸🇽🇺🇸

    Hi Chuck. My food is cooked with tumeric , ginger , garlic and onion , cinnamon and more spices all the time I do get headaches time to time and also I use black pepper all the time as well

      It might be the ghee that you May be using that negates the benefits of these spices.

    I have athrits and Fabomralga my musels get very painful every day l it affects my hol body dear. Thank you for sharing this with me Dr Jim Loomis . I still keep moving every day because if l don't move my legs get very painful and stiffen up. I will be 67this year dear. I have worked very hard for over the years. In factory worker and l never seen as meny young people have to cope with the pain in their body's. Just to keep going with the work they were doing every day and night dear.

    Correct food is natural and healing medicine; made medicine just bandage the problem. Plus medication has weigh to many side affects and cause even more problems.

    Please cover health problems experienced by plant based folks like gout. In my husband's case caused by lentils. How to reduce uric acid levels naturally to minimise attacks. We follow the daily dozen so have all the nutrition, herbs, spices and supplements.

    Ceylon cinnamon is supposed to be good for us but the "fake" cinnamon which is "normal" cinnamon, what is usually sold to us, less expensive, is supposed to be harmful at what I would consider to be medium dosage for someone who likes it in their oatmeal and tea every day -- it would be great if there was an Exam Room follow up here since safety issue was dismissed in this video

      @@nolow_life Yes, please. If the safety and nutritional gulf between the different types of cinnamon is that pronounced, I'd think this would be a general point of emphasis when cinnamon is being discussed and recommended.
      The fact that it isn't, suggests that either it isn't true or it just hasn't been clearly established yet.

    Be careful of powder turmeric. Apparently farmers in East Asia, putting lead in, as the turmeric is sold by weight. Better to by fresh and grate your own. Another concern with turmeric is it can increase blood pressure in some people.

    I took turmeric capsules at one stage and had an awful reaction. I was later told the reaction is caused when turmeric and certain diabetic meds are taken.

      Zynergia products…they have a Turmerich capsule..for me it’s proven helpful..I took it as a pain reliever eerytimre I had a body pain or headache

    So glad I grow my own turmeric and ginger but my family think I overdo the ginger and Cinnamon they say my blood will be to thin. I am on no PILLS, but got osteoporosis and arthritis bad in my hands and lower back from an car accident, that can be very painful. I don't want to use any strong pain pills. Maybe I must use an supplement 🤔 I use herbal ointment on my hands and back. Any tips are welcome 😊

      Avoid and then limit nightshades ..tomatoes ..peppers eggplant potato...tomatoes triggers my joint soreness

      Esselstyn's reversing heart disease variation on a vegan diet is one with oil elimination. Eliminate oil and eat lots of leafy green veggies chewed as you eat them, and heart disease is reversed. Oil is never good for you. Watch a few videos of Esselstyn explaining it. Diabetes reversal variations on a vegan diet are also the elimination of oil. Watch a few Neal Barnard videos ln reversing diabetes. Oil is not good for you. It is empty calories anyway.

    I’ve been taking turmeric every day for almost a year & I don’t notice any pain relief but I bought a huge bottle so that’s why I still take it cause I don’t wanna waste it…

      Tart cherry juice is the base - first ingredient. I've heard other doctors say that it helps facilitate good sleep as well.

    I added tumeric to my diet, until I realized that I don’t like the taste of it. It’s good in authentic cuisines that use it, but not something I would buy. I eat the rainbow of fruits and vegetables. I am not on the superfoods bandwagon.

      Turmeric is a common spice and a major ingredient in curry powder. Curcumin is a major component of turmeric, and the activities of turmeric are commonly attributed to curcuminoids (curcumin and closely related substances). Curcumin gives turmeric its yellow color.

      @@kathysharp7551 I do this all the time too, pronouncing it tUmeric. I don't know exactly why but maybe cuz it feels awkward saying it with the R in there.
      It doesn't roll off my tongue nearly as easily or comfortably.

      Very good that it does bind to iron. Iron overload is a problem many if not most have. I'm going to use more turmeric now.

      Brain is mostly fat and body needs fat to be healthy. Alot of people are harmed by vegetables only. Should add in some meat, fish, eggs, whole milk,nuts,butter

    Too much cinnamon is bad for the kidneys, I've heard. Shame, because a little spoon of ground ginger and a little spoon of ground cinnamon in a mug of hot water is a wonderful drink when you've got a cold !
