Travis Scott sit an takes some notes. Plenty of notes. You can raise hell at a concert and still have a good time. But I really don't think of him as real artist because he can't rap. But still take some note. I loved the 90's. My childhood memories growing up. Love and miss them days

Not sure about the Freddie Mercury inspiration thing but Garth will tell you he stole Chris LeDoux's show. When Garth first was starting out he opened for Chris LeDoux. Chris was the real thing. Rode bulls in the rodeo during the day and put on a wild country concert at night. Garth even wrote a song about him.

Garth changed Country music especially in respect to live shows. He's said groups like Aerosmith mostly influenced his concert style and he wanted that kind of energy. And, instead of doing single concerts in 2014 he was doing multiple concerts in a city. In that tour that lasted 3 years, he did 390 shows. He did 11 concerts in Minneapolis at Target Center selling 203,000 tickets! That still amazes me and I hope to be able to see him once. Thanks for reacting to Garth! Really enjoy your energy too!

Oklahoma representing here with Garth! This song is so stinking clever, you do not even need to like country music to like this song a whole lot. He is a BIG DEAL. Weird fact, in his early career there was a woman in Apache, OK, that made collarless shirts and Garth loved those shirts. I am not even sure how many she made especially for him? But at that time you were not cool unless you drove to Apache, OK, to get you a collarless shirt. Yes, I had one, I am cool, mine was black but it had a chunk of purple on half of the shirt to the side. And yes, this girl wore it with her black cowboy boots. I consider myself a rock and roll person with a few exceptions and Garth is one of them. He basically changed country music, he made it popular, you could relate to it. Super talented Oklahoman, thank you very much! 😂 ❤️

    And I saw the surprise

This song is about a guy that walks in on his ex-girlfriend's wedding, it's about different social classes, cowboys vs city folk - in texas "the Oasis" is a bar (don't know if it's still there or not, it's been about 30 years) out in the country - cowboys - sawdust, peanuts, and beer. Metaphors . "I showed up in boots to your black-tie affair", now if you live in Texas - the groom might be wearing boots to his wedding, but in the song, she trades her cowboy in for someone else, someone she considers to be "classier" -I mean no offense people, it's how it was in the 1980s. I happen to know a few very classy, well-educated, cowboys.

When he performed in an arena or other enclosed venue, he would reserve upwards of 300 front row tickets, then before the show started his people would bring fans from the nose bleed seats and give them the front row tickets.

We paid these guys to sing for us and who wound up singing? Every damned time. Brooks was influenced by the 1970s-era rock of Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen and the operatic rock of Queen with Freddie Mercury. In his live shows, Brooks used a wireless headset microphone to free himself to run about the stage, adding energy and arena rock theatrics to spice up the normally staid country music approach to concerts.

The radio doesn't play the third verse. So when he plays live, it's a special treat people go F*CKING NUTS for.

If you're curious (because everyone should be!), the footage with the big "65" behind him is from a concert he played on the deck of the USS Enterprise, CVN-65. She's been retired now, but at the time, she was (if memory serves) the flagship of the US Navy.
The audio is from his concert in Central Park, with an estimated 1 million plus in attendance.

The haughty tottie of society, he was just a country boy, didn't need the high society, went to the bar with blue collar society. The rich may call low friends. Love it

Friends In Low Places is a feel good party song that Everyone loves to sing along to. It's one of Garth's biggest songs and the third verse isn't played on the radio unfortunately lol. You should check out his concert that he did in Dublin, Ireland, absolutely amazing. And I don't meant to brag, but I've been to the Oasis, awesome bar lol!!
