I got lucky with my CB female, we produced her almost 4 year's ago and decided to pair her with a male. I hadn't held her since she was a baby and expected her to act out, but I guess tongue feeding built up trust, she allowed me to grab her. She didn't tense up, bark or anything. She stayed relaxed and allowed me to move her in with the male. I was so relieved.
I agree entirely with your summary, why do you want to hold your tokay? They are powerful geckos with a serious bite, and they do not like to be held. My adult male captive bred has drawn blood on me for cleaning his enclosure, and sometimes he will tolerate me brushing my hand against him intentionally. I have explained to many friends it has nothing to do with fear, I just dont see any point in holding him considering he does not like it and it serves no purpose.

Lol I like your advice of holing them high is good but my little guy is suicidal he’ll try and jump from any height lol I’ve caught him twice and after that I don’t take him out much . Luckily he’s never hit the floor!!!

Hey Man y juste got the chance to Rescue one from a Guy not that Smart and worst sooo what the best for ok what can y do to calm the tokay down and one Day be able to pet im cand off ....or what the best i could Do for the Little Guy to mâke if secure and un peace tanks
