How’s the fz08 compare to the fz6 and mt09 ? Wish there was a spec comparison somewhere. I am not surprised the mt09 is quicker but I would think this bike would have a much higher top speed/get there quicker after a certain point
powered tank bag sw motec, phone on top with gps in front mount on bag with camera battery and flashlight always charged. Arrow header with power commander5, Sprint dacron filter NOT K&N and Denso Iridium plugs and of course the air box mod and your Fz8 will reward you for it. I always like how flickable the Fz is.
@@nakedbeachrider8798 what's up? Just got a 2012 FZ8 last week. What is the air box mod that you talk of? And any others? It came with a 2brothers racing pipe in the box. I put that on and it's a completely new beast now. Do I need to tune the bike for the pipe? Seeing that it has fuel injection, didn't know if the computer adjusts for it automatically. Ride On !!!!
I hate how manufacturers cheap out on these naked bikes....I mean their still great bikes but why can't we get better suspension and a bit more tech? Yeah it would drive the price up but it would be a better bike out of the box and I feel like more people would buy them.
I've actually tried to get the ugliness out but unfortunately its permanently within the metal. I think its just from too much hot and cold fluctuations over the years. I'm not too worried about it, it's still fun to ride. :)
I had a generator explode and if you own one of these for a long period of time it will happen to you guys guaranteed so get a modified Rotor and don't rely on the fact it won't happen to you because I guarantee it will mine is a 2012 modal , not sure if or when Yamaha modified the rotor, but get one of that age if they did :-) Sorry to be the barer of bad news but in the 21st century one would not expect this kind of dangerous behavior to be allowed to be carried out by such a well known name, it's simply a NO NO in my book discusting Yamaha you should be ashamed and that's coming from a yamaha man of 40yrs now!! It's put me off of Yamaha a computer probably modelled this part and no human intervention or understanding cost cutting using infereier glues call it what you will it is an utter disgrace. £1400 for parts alone at my local dealer and thats without VAT and fitting the bike is scrap if it wasn't for CHINA sadly

Considering buying it! One (2012) is posted for $4,000 with 2k miles. There are just a lot of bikes in that price range..
Giancarlo grab it! Good price for the miles unless it was in a crash. I grabbed mine with 12,000 miles on it for 2,500$ in 2014
I have 2013 and I'm down in Florida and the engine gets hot AF but still love the bike
It's an awesome bike for the most part. Up here in the north the 'heated' seat is nice on cold mornings. :)

If you don't care about price going up you can also update suspension?
Oye get some mothers aluminum polish and a cheap buffing cone from amazon, you can take those headers from that nasty color back to silver.
