The issues are much too important for the Chilean voters to be left to decide for themselves" as a hippy attitude. As much as I feel for the victims of this shit in Paris (and Beirut for that matter), I hate when so many people try to turn terrorism into this ethical issue, like "these damn sand dwellers are tryna take away my capitalism". This is not a war of ideologies, contrary to popular belief. Honestly I don't think there's ever really been a war of ideologies. The Middle East is an unstable shithole currently, and it turns out bombing the shit out of it doesn't really seem to do anything to solve that problem. That's all we should learn from this tragedy.
+MrLemmiwinks You forget one thing: The people you say "believe in democracy, rule of law, tolerance, freedom of speech and religion" actually believe in mandatory freedom for corporations not people, rule of law in favor of the rich and a democracy where lobbyists make those laws, not the people. And after what we found out through snowden, I would be careful when calling other societies out on censorship, when the NSA is monitoring all communications (at least if you are not american). It is a tragedy what happened in france. But it is also a tragedy that we who live in countries that are rich are consuming so many things that are made out of slavery, in unsafe work environments, by children and at such minimal pays that people can't even afford medication. It is a tragedy that we let thousands of people drown and die on rails and through a myriad other ways, because we don't want them to have part in the riches we made on their countries backs. It's a tragedy that we throw millions of tons of food away just because no one bought it and before somebody gets it for free we rather burn it, all while people are starving. It's a tragedy that we only call bad things that happen to our selfes a tragedy and when they happen to others (even or especially when we are the reason for those tragedies) we call them collateral damage. This list could go on and on.
+schmonzo42 I'd rather have corporations rule me than a theocracy. corporations want to control the flow of money, a theocracy wants to control the flow of thought.
This makes me so sad. Every time we try to forget these things, another act of terror reminds us of why we have so much fear and hatred. It seems like we can't do anything to fight this horrible problem of terrorism. It is going to take the effort of an entire world to overcome this...
The three vertical stripes in your newly updated profile picture represents more than just a social awareness and sympathy, it highlights the three core principles of the French society, ideals carried out through history since the french revolution: Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité. I feel obliged to speak on behalf of the incidents in my home country, even though I'm unfamiliar with the technicals behind it nor I'm I politically involved... However, like so many has pointed out before me, I don't want this does not to turn into an immigrational affair and/or indulge in dangerous generalizations within ethnic groups. Religion doesn't control people, people control people and like always it will be civilians who will suffer as a consequence to the hands of the terrorists, that's why it's important to identify the enemy for what it really is. Paris is not exclusive to the ongoing human rights violations throughout the world and we have not been blind to the horrors of Gaza, Libanon etc, we can choose to focus on one event but it's about the essence of freedom being taken out in all of us and the shootings in Paris should not be portrayed as some unique scenario. "Le courage civil" (Civil Courage) is another term coined by the french - which incorporates all three of these values and is something we desperately need more of. This is the flag, the cause you're supporting - and what it truly embodies. Let's start living by these same ideals and learn how we, through unity, can be the solution! #PrayforParis #Terrorismhasnoreligion
Through centuries of wars and hardships, the west now has understood the ideals of peace and liberty, and now stands united in those ideals. The world has taken enough sorrow to get here. The west stands united! It feels incredibly inspiring!
+R3spawnAlpha Not defending the point but to clarify , I think Retro means that people calling for expulsion of immigrants and other major calls for violence is exactly what you don't want. The world calling it an act of war is kinda redundant since you're at war with them already. When Germany bombed Dresden it was not responded to with bomb their civilians. It was met with continuation of attacking hard targets whenever possible. The west and Israel have for years now been pretty indiscriminate of hard or soft targets being hit. Is it any real surprise that they use what tools they have to fight back at what they perceive as an attempt to erase their religion? I am Irish and at one time in my ancestors history we had this group called the IRA, who tried to keep civilian deaths to a minimum but they still hit them. They were called freedom fighters by their supporters and terrorists buy the enemy. Imposing your rules on a foreign country is no better or worse then them imposing theirs on their neighbors. There is no moral high ground in this fight.
eric Stoenescu I am not. Here In France we are sending prayers for the family, stay at home and staying calm I mean, we're not being ignorant like the rest of the world who is hypocrit and have no feeling for France and put pictures and things just for the views and buzz
This same kind of terror attacks happened in Mumbai, India whether it's the 9/11 attacks in New York the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai and this 13/11 attacks in Paris they have a common link to Pakistan
The bombing and sinking of the Greenpeace ship 'Rainbow Warrior' in Auckland harbour on July 10 1985 with the loss of one life, was a State sponsored terrorist attack, carried out by French agents. The term, 'What goes around comes around', springs to mind.
Paris reacted the way we did on 9/11...they were unified. But unfortunately this is not the same mentality Americans have with domestic terrorism these days. We have become jaded as Americans. We politicize, and use whatever facts or disinformation to portray opposing political parties in a bad light. No longer are the days of togetherness. That is what we have given away.
I pray for the victims of paris attack though i still ask one question to the world leaders why are you consider 100-200 citizens of france who was killed in the attack as much as important than the 10000 lives who died in arab nation everyday attack by some developed countries for their benefit in the name of terrorism.0k is about war in terrorism thn who created terrorism, who is responsible for the terrorist, u the developed nation are responsible for that u supply weapons to fight with ur nations.guys we hve to study from the origin no need to critisice much about attack, bombing etc we hve to study why did they do it and who make dt policy .

+Louis Andrews Smith Thanks. In France we see the far right party getting more and more voting intentions, but they are just what people see as the "easy" solution. However, this would not solve anything, for the problem is much more complex than that.
Humans are so beautiful when they have a common enemy, a strike that causes fear and hate, somehow brings along with it an undeniably strong relationship between people, people forget sex, religion or race, and see each other for what they are, people, however perhaps the problem lies within the fact that an act of brutality is needed to spark this type of love for each other.
They didn't include Canada, ): ..:.... They could've made it longer....come on guys. This isn't some small story. I want all the reactions that were made, not just some.
here's the good things isis brought. their helping the world become closer together. you see that all the powerful countries showed Frances flag that shows that we care about each other. if all the powerful countries come together I bet we would bet the living day light out of them.
I have no disrespect for French people or anything and may God bless the people who died it's a sad moment but here's the thing in Middle East everyday people are dying children and adults they literally took out Palestine the whole Palestine it was a country now it's gone it's replaced by Israel but it's originally Palestine not Israel people are dying everyday in Middle East but no one cares there's no any new hashtags like #PrayForParis no there's nothing they treat it like it's a normal thing I'm just saying that we're human too Islam is a peaceful religion I'm personally Muslim and I'm just saying people should care about us too and no disrespect for French people may God bless them in this horrible situation
LOL as a Chinese I'm very dissapointed why the fuck the Pearl tower in Shanghai have to lid France's flag. like they would light China's flag when we are attacked, i dont think so.
It is much better if we work together. Sing freedom through the earth... Let us go in peace and let Isis see the danger that they are in with love. Let God be in our hearts!
They've made the wrong move there who ever did it it's the third time it's happened to France now they will act on it and I think Europe should all unite and stop this as one
this child's play compared to what is happening in iraq, syria, and afghanistan. specially syria where those people who cut off every peice of a human is support by america. i dont see the world putting up flags of afghanistan or iraq. i wonder why ?
1. Pray for Paris. The dead people are innocent 2. Solving terrorism does not need to be eye for an eye; that makes us nothing different with terrorism and will make thing worse unless all people who cast different ideology die, which is impossible and brutal. 3. Many people die because of this in daily in Middle East and never catch people's eye. Equality only exists in peaceful world. That is why peace is so precious. That is why the biggest crime is to disturb a peaceful world. 4. American government's greed of benefits on Middle East should be the fundamental reason for today's widen and globalized terrorism. People may need to call on their government to stop intervention on Middle East affairs, leaving their affairs to themselves. Even they die out because of their ideology, that is their willing and consequence. Why we want to force them to accept our ideology and make things worse? 5. Here excuse me for letting me be a little bit personal. When this tragedy happens, Shanghai lights up for its support, which shows willingness of both people and the government. But back to Kunming Attack in China, does France or any other mainstream Western media show any sympathy? What do they focus on? Go back to check what those media say, simply google it. 6. Two Chinese proverbs that is familiar to any Chinese to finish this comment. Even you don't like grass, large area of lawn can't be burned out, grass will grow next year; Love, tolerating and then reasoning is the solution to revenge; 7. Thank you. Up if like the comment
I don’t mean to be rude but basically showing off the French colors is basically what most people did in the BLM movement when people participated in blackout Tuesday. To those who posted links and such to support fundraisers, thank you. But to those who just posted a black screen online, shame on you for not informing others.
Its acts like what happened in Paris, or Beirut two days ago, really make me grow tired of religion and yes, a problem with all religions. Irrational people warp the message of their religion basically to fit their increased radicalisation - to, in some way, validate or justify their own awful acts of violence or maltreatment of others. The quicker it's left to be forgotten the better.
Beautiful show of solidarity between nations. I hope it is a comfort to those who have lost and are hurting

They didn't include Canada, ): ..:.... They could've made it longer....come on guys. This isn't some small story. I want all the reactions that were made, not just some.
***** youd think they would make the video longer for such an event, i guess not.
+Bramble Skittles Never knew that Toronto wasn't in Canada.
0:56 for your enjoyment.
TheBlinky81 i meant The Prime Minister's speech.
Pray For Paris this was a very sad day Friday the 13 is really a sad day
And it's true Friday the 13 is the bad luck day over 1,000 people died
here's the good things isis brought. their helping the world become closer together. you see that all the powerful countries showed Frances flag that shows that we care about each other. if all the powerful countries come together I bet we would bet the living day light out of them.
Who disliked this video?!
Please do a Paris attacks explained video/post
france is loved all around the world
I loke what Vox is doing. I hope the rest of media learns from this and most of their other videos.

Nobody cares Haji
the attakes was only 2 days after my berth day
1. Pray for Paris. The dead people are innocent
6. Two Chinese proverbs that is familiar to any Chinese to finish this comment. Even you don't like grass, large area of lawn can't be burned out, grass will grow next year; Love, tolerating and then reasoning is the solution to revenge;
7. Thank you. Up if like the comment
Guys i swear if a WW3 starts i don't even know what i'm gunna do.....
This is about gold and oil
C'est triste. It's weird seeing Aus there though. I go on youtube to escape Aussie accents.
