In today's show I look ahead to the game against Sheffield United and focus on whether Gabriel Jesus could come back into the starting XI. I discuss the big decisions facing Mikel Arteta ahead of the game and look at the latest Arsenal team news. What a pity about Partey's injury record, such a magnificent player when fit!!
With the 19 days off coming soon if we dont get more injuries (touch wood ) after the porto game we could have everyone back including Timber . But yes your right Partey has to start when fit he was the best player on the park for A . Madrid in the Champions leauge at Anfield so 100% start Partey or at least 1 half against Sheffield United .Get him match fit for Porto he has champions leauge experience and we need that badly .

Hi Charles re Jesus, would ease him in, 20 minutes on Monday, 45mins against Brentford, second half. This appears to me a "no brainer ".

Gabriel Jesus is the best false 9 in the squad, by a looong way. I don’t have a problem blending him into one of the Havertz/Trossard rotation roles - but when he gets back to full fitness he HAS to start (particularly against Porto). Partey needs to get 15 minutes off the bench. We are going to need them all for the congested April/May games.

i don't understand why some Arsenal fans forgetting last season and the part he played us almost winning the league i do believe we can do better this season with him Rice and Odegaard in midfield i will back us against any team even the Man City game
Nothing apologizes about Charles. I think Liverpool are running thin with injuries and will not even beat forest today and Man city are not on the top of their came, this is our season and many seasons to come, love your content.

Hi Charles regarding our players returning to the team you have to start them reason being if the dont cut it or breakdown we hav our regular players on the bench, doing it the other way cud leave us in trouble with the like of Dec taken off for Partey then Tomas get injured, wats yr thoughts C.

There are a few players we need to play to put them in the shop window, not just Thomas, Nketiah and Vieria. Perhaps if they played a bit more they might change the boss' opinion too.

Charles, does Arteta come out and watch the small sided games that the subs take part in? Which coaches take them through that warm down/session? Does Arteta gain insight from those games as to who is ready to come into the team? You said it’s pretty intense.
I dont think Gabriel will start. He obviously will play a part but Arteta will reward the previous team for a magnificent display against Newcastle. Including Kiwior.
Hey Charles I’ve asked this question a few times and would appreciate if you could answer it btw love your daily show mate. Could arsenal upgrade the stadium to a 70k or 80k capacity or would we have to move for us to increase the capacity just feel like the emirates is too small for us a club as I can never get tickets and have only won one ballot all season? Emirates could be upgraded all 4 corners could be filled in where it dips with planning permission probably get it up to at least 70.000 capacity
On transfer Gyokeres look lethal besides we can look at Real Madrid after they sign Mbappe there'll be someone to poach

I found out something very interesting about Jorg. He has Plantar Fasciitis, and it is just managing the pain. He struggles to walk after games.
Also, Jorginhos agent drops hint he'll return to Italy as a free agent.
I'm personally gutted by this. We now will need to replace him, Partey, and Elneny. What's your opinion?
Yea those hurt as hell but it never stopped from playing. Its usually when I wake up in the morn that your feet will be on 🔥. So yea it can be managed with good stretch massages and proper rest..
On Jorginho - Why would he accept a 1+1 ? He _knows_ that Arsenal will activate his extra year so how does a 1 + 1 benefit him ?
I’d offer him a 2 + 1 with a salary bump & hope he takes it. 🤞
Personally I think he’s one of those players that will still deliver into his late thirties.

Bench him for both games. Give him the last 15 mins for both games. Start him against Porto.
I personally think we are getting a bit carried away with the debates around bringing players back. We need to focus on winning the game in front of us and they aren't going to be processions. Easing people along gradually after injury is a luxury

I think we can all agree that seeing Spurs nick 4th this season wouldn’t be most Gooners preference however might there be a silver lining to that happening… given Arsenal are in the market for a striker, if Villa finish 5th could this be an opportunity to pinch boyhood gunners fan Ollie Watkins? If Villa get CL football he would almost certainly stay at Villa Park, but if they miss out surely Arsenal would turn his head in the summer. What are your thoughts? I would play Jesus from off the bench for now. Keep Trossard on. We are clicking right now. Remember last season our team went from clicking to not when he came back from injury. Is it coincidence or is something there.

It's mad to me that we're even contemplating stating Jesus when Troussard and Havertz been on fire. Play your in form players if you're leading in the 2nd half then bring on Jesus to see out the game. Why the hell do you wanna change the dynamics of a winning team??? Even Partey need minutes too so just bring them on later but whatever you do do not change the dynamics of the team thats been steamrolling teams to accommodate players that cant even play you 3 games in a row without getting injured 🤦
Hey Charles I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere but was Japan wrongly playing Tomi with an injury as he played their final game,, and has not played a minute since...not great if Japan was just playing him through an injury when Arsenal pay his wages etc

We always get a good result when Havertz is upfront. Jesus is a SS more than a ST.
I disagree with you about the gulf in class with City last season. They certainly destroyed us the second game because we were mentally and physically drained. The earlier game we outplayed them completely but they weathered the storm and scored the crucial goal, so already last season there was no gulf in class. It was just like the Liverpool game in the cup this season, domination without a goal, same as Porto, same as Newcastle first game and several others, but nobody says there's a gulf in class. One thing is for sure, the progress is evident.

Charles a big reason people are so harsh on Partey and favour "dumping" him is because he has the black cloud of rape allegations following him around since the start of the last season.
People are innocent until proven guilty not the other way around.
If that were true he would keep his anonymity until convicted innocent till proven guilty, maybe.
Not saying its true but there are several seperate allegations, enough that it should be taken seriously.

Why does a fit Jesus not get benched by Havertz or trossard? We have finally started scoring loads of goals once Jesus went out of the team. Same case as last season when Trossard came in for him. Then when Jesus came back our attack dried out again

Ben White's "not liking football" attitude seems perfectly normal to me for a professional footballer. How many, say, plumbers or accountants are there out there who, after a hard day at work, come home and spend their leisure time watching videos of other people fixing pipes or adding up figures? I suspect that White just articulated what a majority of players think.
Jesus shouldn't start, not just because that's important to help ease him back in but also because what message does that send to the current forward line who have been sensational recently. Everyone should earn their place

If we can get 15-20m partey we should sell him he is on 200k a week we should push him out in summer if saudi comes in we will be lucky
Partey has been one of our worst ever signings if you consider the transfer fee and wages. He has missed huge swaths of the season and from memory has never been available against our rivals! The sooner he goes the better, yes a great player but if he never plays it really doesn’t matter 🤷♂️

Why should Jesus start? He is back from a little brake and the team is doing very well at the moment, so why not go with the already performing team and bring Jesus on in the 70th minutes to get some game time. We should not take chances in these up coming games because any little mistake, we are out of the title race. Jesus must fight for his spot as any other player
Please Charles, don't become like certain other fan channels. Arsenal are doing great but to say they're the best "in form" team in Europe because they're scoring a lot just doesn't hold up.
Since the 31st December Arsenal have won 6 games and lost 3 games.
Since the 30th December Man City have won 11 games and drawn 1 game.
Obviously my geography is not what it was as I was sure Manchester was in Europe.

@@trinigooner8865 DGAF we are currently better than at any time since Arteta started. remember this time last year? We had battered Brighton, West Ham etc over Xmas and built a big lead WITHOUT Jesus. When he came back in we fell off the cliff. I do not rate his contribution (very few goals) as worth disrupting the fluidity. He drops too deep and too wide. We create very few chances when he plays and he misses most. I'd sell him and get a better player
