The fact that Thousand-eyes Restrict still manages to win me games today says a lot about its power level. For the very first fusion monster with an effect, it was way ahead of its time.
That's the funny thing about some of the oldest cards in the game to have ever been printed: they either are really weak by today's standards (or even by their own time's standards, in the case of something like Illusionist Faceless Mage), or are so absurdly strong that they continued to be threats in the meta for years. The game was a lot less balanced back then, which is part of the reason why the meta back then was so different than it is now. There are even really old banned cards that are so stupidly generically strong that they can't be unbanned today, with the main 3 examples that come to mind being Pot of Greed (which no one can figure out what it does, lol), Graceful Charity, and Snatch Steal. All this goes to show how inexperienced Konami was at making the game back then
Now people only have to use the link version of it cause instant fusion is banned. But anyways I would love new toons like blue eyes ultimate dragon otherwise they need to change their toon
@@lordpaulphilippfernandez9904yeah and it was even worse in NA konami because they think it is a good idea to implement Sixth Sense in 2013, right in the middle of Dragon Ruler era. This card was first introduced during 2003 in OCG and it wasn't a big deal during that time since graveyard effects wasn't as strong, so I have no idea why tf it took TCG 10 years to implement it in the worst time possible.
My buddy won a game in matchmaking with Flying Elephant’s effect in Master Duel after we committed to trying to do it all Saturday morning. We celebrated pretty hard
5:29 The "how haven't you already received a Toon retrain?" card 9:21 surprisingly, also haven't received a toon legacy retrain support 14:40 The "you finally got a retrain for modern game, yet now you need a new retrain to finally get your true type" 25:03 Pegasus finally sees real life compettive play
Relinquished is one of my all time favorite cards. Pegasus' starter deck was the first deck I ever got so for quite a while Relinquished was my ace monster. Imagine my glee when we got Millennium Eye Restrict and Anima.
A new illusion type was just released in the OCG abd they focus on the battle phase, they don't use Relinquished in the deck though. There was also Ishizu/Gravekeeper support at the end of 2022. It focused on Exchange of the Spirit and Necrovalley (i think). However they normally just got used with Tear. Which is why the tier 0 format was called "Ishizu Tear" (all 4 Ishizu support are currently limited) Mught not be the exact support you hoped for but if you play tcg or Master Duel they'll be here eventually
@@fireblossom9618 I’m master 2 in master duel. And I meant support for the OG grave keepers to make it a playable control deck. Would be sick. Just need some good fusion cards and a few solid support cards.
One thing to mention is that Toon World actually had an effect in its first OCG print, which made you pay life points and recover all the pays if destroyed. Obviously this could become confusing so they made it effectless.
@@boredcat7194 It did. The pre-errata version also had a standby phase cost of 500 Life Points. Konami vastly overestimated Toons strength in 1999 even after they striped them of their immunities.
Real relinquished doesn’t negate battle damage to you, it only inflicts the same battle damage you take to your opponent as well as an effect damage. 22:35
8:06 This outcome always drove me nuts, and it took me awhile to figure out why: not only does Crush Card Virus make no sense compared to its other uses while there was no reason to wait for Dragon Piper's effect, but Pegasus had a more humiliating line he could have taken. Instead of copying Crush Card Virus, Pegasus should have copied Negate Attack. Kiaba is forced to end his turn with Swordstalker (2000 ATK) in attack mode. Pegasus frees the second Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon and attacks Swordstalker. Kiaba would have taken 1000 damage, and his life points were at 1000. Kiaba loses, and he gets imprisoned knowing that not only could he not save Mokuba, but he couldn't even stop Pegasus from beating him with a caricature of his own card.
Since Konami introduced the new Illusionist type, I hope they bring out more support for Pegasus' decks (especially Toons). Edit: and also retrain 'older' cards like Toon Alligator and Parrot Dragon into actual, useful Toon cards.
Man, the Pegasus duels in the manga were some of my absolute favorite. I was always pretty sad that the YuGiOh game took off so much that it forced the writer of YuGiOh to change his goal/vision of the series entirely. Even the Duelist Kingdom version of the game was still really fun, and it shows with the final duel between Yugi and Pegasus. It’s super thematic, and there’s tons of back and forth and surprises that happen. I also love the giant middle finger that he threw into the series with the final ultimate villain being Bakura with a throwback to the final chapters of the pre-duel monsters era. Mans was like, “hey remember that super cool tabletop RPG that Bakura forced Yugi and his friends to play before Duelist Kingdom? Oh you only watched the anime created to capitalize on the popularity of the Duel Monsters game and made me shift the entire focus of my manga?Hmmm… well too bad. Here’s another tabletop RPG to finish the ultimate villain.”
@@xCorvus7x I would have loved to have known. :( Probably wouldn’t say anything bad about them. I’m sure he was grateful to have gotten his big break, but I know as somebody who has many creative hobbies that it’s an awful feeling being pigeonholed into a certain thing and feeling like you can’t create the stuff you want to create.
I would think in some ways it was probably creatively stifeling to have to keep the card game a part of the story, but I would like to believe he was still happy with the end results of his creation. If you read some of the author's notes of the manga, he mentioned warmingly many times that above all else he hoped that the reader would be encouraged to make and keep some friends (hence the focus on friendship so much in the series). Given the amount the card game connected people, that would be something to be proud of.
I don't have a source on-hand, but I remember hearing that Takahashi was actually pretty cool with the pivot to Duel Monsters. He found it challenging to keep coming up with such a variety of games for the manga, and he saw an unfulfilled niche and the appeal in a card game-focused manga; like how card games have a "face-to-face" element to them. I imagine he got a lot of his ancient Egyptian magic ideas into the Battle City and later arcs, too.
fun fact about the relinquished duel, in the manga bakura was also guarding yugi's mind, because in the manga Bakura was more fused as their friend group, and joined the group during duelist kingdom, with bakura wanting to learn the secrets of the millennium items. Anime kind of scrapped that idea to not have to explain season 0
22:15 Idea for a “Relinquished” Union monster (As an inversion to Relinquished’s usual Absorption effects) _Relinquished Inversion_ (DARK) Level 1 Spellcaster/Union/Effect _Once per turn, you can tribute 1 monster you control: Special summon this card from your hand or GY, and if you do, this card’s original ATK/DEF becomes that of the tribute’s. Once per turn, you can either: Target 1 face-up monster you control; equip this card to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it. If the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect, destroy this card instead. While this card is equipped to a monster, it is unaffected by card effects, and the equipped monster gains the following effects:_ ⚪️Gains ATK/DEF Equal to the ATK/DEF of all monsters equipped/attached to this card. ⚪️ If this card destroys a monster by battle or card effect, you can equip or attach the destroyed monster to this card (Transfer its materials to this card if it has any.) ⚪️Once Per Turn (Quick Effect) You can tribute 1 monster from your hand or field: Ritual Summon 1 Ritual monster from your hand or GY who’s level matches the tribute’s exactly. ATK/0 DEF/0
Bandit Keith might be worth a list, as he was somewhat important to Joey's growth and nearly caused Yugi to die in an actual fire, but I'll still campaign for a Top 10 Rare Hunters Cards so you can have a list showcasing Marik that isn't just the forms of Ra and Monster Reborn. Now that I think about, Mako might have enough cards for a Top 10.
I second the idea for Top 10 Marik cards in particular. Which despite Marik spamming Ra, didn't Marik have a BUNCH of cards that'd seem like torture devices or just plain evil? It probs help he shares certain cards with Loomis/Umbra and Strings in particular to give them honorable mentions as well even if the goonies aren't worth their own video.
Cool video. I remember in early Duel Links Relinquished was one of the top cards due to the limited card pool. Especially because you could make it immune to traps using Djinn Disserere of Rituals, which could also be used for the summon while in the grave. It was a great deck and probably my second favorite behind Keith Barrel Dragon.
A neat idea for future lists like this could be covering an entire era (season) of the anime, to call attention to cards used by characters that might not be iconic enough for a list of their own.
Fun fact: Dragon capture jar returned in ygo 5ds with its actual tcg effect and helped their users, team Tayio, to bring out their strongest boss monster by stalling the main cast (since all their big synchro boss monsters were dragons)
I'm sure that illusionist faceless mage and its retrain illusionist faceless magician will be reprinted and re-released as illusion monsters now that the illusion monster type is being added to the game, and they will most likely also do the same with the original berfomet, gazzelle and chimera monsters
I'm glad to hear that because I was really rooting for the mage to do some psychological effects only to find out that it's useless. I wanted a mind playing/mind controlling deck.
There’s a ton of duelist in the original anime that have a ton of iconic cards I look forward to the day you cover mako tsunami and his demons from the deep a few of which got retrained last year and gave birth to umi control as a rogue deck option
i ll always say this: toons can be the craziest archetype ever created in yugioh, just imagine Toonlaments. Tonnstyals, Toonshtira, etc, etc, and extradeck monsters with good effects + toon effects like IP Toonsquerena, Acces Toon Talkers, Toonlaments Caleidoheart but konami hates money and the legacy of Kazuki Takahashi
A toon Kaiju monster would be interesting like if you summon it to your opponents side of field you can then take countrol of it if you have Toon World on the field
@rohateanonis4657 The horror a toonified massive Sea turtle playing with a tank in one hand and a helicopter in a another amongst the ruins of a destroyed city
also i love how people call old cards weak and useless yet even konami disagrees, every card has its use, illusionist faceless mage is one of those "weak" cards that has its use as fusion material
This video shows us that Toon backrow and special effects are really interesting, and are largely limited by being part of the Toon deck. I’d love for the Toon strategy to get some stronger options, to give cards like Comic Hand and Toon Rollback a proper place to live.
3:30; For those people who watched a lot of scripted duels, this card was used against Marik and his Winged Dragon of Ra. In the anime, The Egyptian gods are immunity of targeting, but in the scenario of the TCG ruling, the effect does not apply at all which allows Pegasus to use that card to take control of Ra and win the scripted duel. So, if any of their IMPORTANT cards that were used in a scripted duel, it counts!
Dark Rabbit Retrain: Changed to Toon Monster When summoned, allow the player to search their Hand, Deck, Graveyard or Banished Zone for Toon World and activate, ignoring it's cost requirements. If Toon World is already in play, Search your Hand, Deck, Graveyard or Banished Zone for a Random Toon Trap or Spell and activate it, ignoring activation costs. Any effect that would Destroy or Banish a Toon Spell or Toon Trap can be negated by sacrificing Dark Rabbit instead. If Toon World is activated via Dark Rabbit, any Toon Monsters that require a cost to attack no longer do.
It’s so crazy I literally finished watching this video and then I log into duel links and there is a new pack with the remaining toon monsters that weren’t on dual links yet 😢 so fucking happy toons are my favorites
So we’re not going to mention Illusionist faceless magician’s retrain that works with Relinquish? 26:00 I don’t know if that was the editor’s idea or theduellongs’ but I love it.
I play a reliquished deck in Master Duel and its such a fun deck. Getting millenium eyes on the field and just stealing starters or extenders and negating them is priceless
Idea for a Toon/Tuner monster (or a “Toon-Er” if you will): _Saturday Morning Car-Tuner_ (LIGHT) Level 1 Illusionist/Toon/Tuner/Effect (This card is always treated as a “Toon” card.) _Once per turn, if “Toon World” is face-up on the field, You can special summon this card from your hand or GY. If a “Toon World” or Toon monster you control would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can destroy this card from your hand or field instead. If this card is used as material for the synchro summon of a monster, that summoned monster is treated as a Toon monster while on the field. If this card and 1 or more other Toon monsters are used as synchro materials for the synchro summon of a monster, the summoned monster gains the following effects:_ ⚪️Face-up ”Toon World” you control cannot be destroyed or banished by card effects. ⚪️ Can attack your opponent directly, unless they control a Toon monster, in which case this card must target a Toon monster for its attacks. ⚪️Once per turn, you can tribute 1 card from your hand or field: Add to your hand or send to your GY 1 “Toon” card of a matching type (Monster/Spell/Trap) from your deck or field. ATK/0 DEF/0
or one eye restrict idol - level 1 tuner - when this card is special summoned add 1 toon card or card that lists toon world in its text from your deck to your hand. once per turn equip 1 monster your opponent controls to this card. if this is the only monsters you control you can conduct a synchro summon using a monster equipped to this card as material and this card can be treated as any level up to the level of the monster equipped to this card. You can shuffle the monster equipped to this card into the deck and summon 1 toon monster from your hand graveyard or that is banished in face up defense position. also you can add either comic hand or a toon card that summons another toon to your side of the field to get another non-tuner on your side of the field to synchro away.
I'm so out of touch with modern Yugioh that I had no idea the Illusion type was in the game now. That's pretty cool and opens the possibilities of many retrains.
17:18 _Blue-Eyes Ultimate Toon Dragon_ (LIGHT) Level 12 Dragon/Fusion/Toon/Effect “Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon” + “Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon” + “Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon” _This card’s Name is also treated as “Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon” while outside of the extra deck. If there is no face-up “Toon World”, retrain this card (That is banished, in the GY or on the field) to the Extra Deck. Your opponent cannot target or destroy “Toon” cards you control with card effects. If this card destroys a monster by battle or inflicts battle damage: Add 1 card that mentions “Toon” or “Blue-Eyes” in it’s name or text. Can attack your opponent directly, unless they control a Toon monster, in which case this card must target a Toon monster for its attacks._ ATK/4500 DEF/3600
One card I’m surprised didn’t make this list was Shadow Toon. One of my favorite online duel videos showed an opponent go through a crazy first turn combo that gave him six boss monsters, one of which had 15550 ATK. Then, in a move that Pegasus would be proud of, the main player plays two cards: Toon Kingdom, and then Shadow Toon, targeting the giant monster. Instant victory.
22:12 While it’s relevant (and what’s more relevant then a Pegasus video?), I’ll dredge up this old idea for an Xyz “Eyes-Restrict” monster and an accompanying support card. Was hoping for some feedback on this one: _X-aulted-Eyes Restrict_ (DARK) Rank 1 Spellcaster/Xyz/Effect _1+ level 1 monsters with monsters equipped_ _This card gains 500 original ATK/DEF for each material attached to it. You can use each of the following effects Once Per Turn (quick effect), but if you do this card cannot attack this turn: This card can ritual summon any 1 ritual monster from your hand/GY: You must also detach materials from this card equal to that cards level. If your opponent would send to the GY, discard, banish, shuffle, tribute, detach or use as material any number of cards for the summon of a monster; detach 2 materials from this card to negate the summon and attach that monster to this card, then you can detach any number of Xyz materials from Xyz monsters you control; attach an equal number cards that would have been used for that summon to this monster. If your opponent would remove this card from the field (by battle or card effect), you can instead detach half of this cards materials (rounded up)._ ATK/0 DEF/0 _X-aulted Hunger_ Continuous trap card _If you Summon a “Relinquished” or “Eyes-Restrict” monster, You can set this card facedown on your field from your hand or deck. While this card is face-up on your field, you can activate each of the following effects once per turn:_ ⚪️ If your opponent would activate a card or effect, you can destroy 1 monster equipped to a “Relinquished” monster you control: negate the card/effect. ⚪️ If you control a Fusion “Eyes-restrict” monster equipped with a monster by its own effects, You can tribute it to special summon a fusion monster from your extra deck (This is treated as a fusion summon). ⚪️ If you control a Xyz “Eyes Restrict” monster, you can detach all non-monster Xyz materials from it (min. 2): while this card is face-up on the field, that “Eyes-Restict” monster gains original ATK/DEF equal to the combined ATK/DEF of all monsters attached to it for the next 2 turns. While this effect is active your opponent takes no battle damage from this card. _If this card would be negated/destroyed by or targeted for a card effect, you can unequip/detach all cards/materials from a monster you control instead (Min. 1), then flip this card facedown._
I hate that despite Toons being what Pegasus is most known for, in Duel Links his only Toon skill (so far) is that he starts the duel with Toon World on the field and instead they recently gave him a fancy Relinquished skill.
@@thewanderingmistnull2451 but calling Relinquished his boss monster is like saying BLS is Yugi's even though their entire deck is build around Toons and DM.

@@dudono1744 5:36 Well the self-protection effect is based off of the card’s text, leaping up and down and all around and stuff so nobody lays a hand on it. As for the effects for when “Toon World” is out on the field: The first one lets you summon the card since physics doesn’t really stick around in the presence of old-timely cartoons (Although maybe I should make it so if it revives from the GY it becomes a zombie, which would be it coming back as a cartoon ghost if this were then anime.) The second one gives you an excuse to run Relinquished and Eyes-Restrict in a “Toon” deck without mucking either up. And the third effect ties into the fact that Pegasus created the entire card game. This last effect would allow Pegasus and his “Toon” decks a way to use his Toons alongside all the newer stuff that came out since way back when (Doubly so for Synchros since “Toon Rabbit” here is a Toon/ _Tuner._ A “Toon-r” if your will.)
There's a small detail I don't think anyone's noticed: Any pre-Red Eyes toon card CAN be special summoned without the need of Toon World if you know what you're doing, and while the toon world shield effect isn't there, they are not destroyed by the lack of Toon World and you can still declare direct attacks with them because the enemy does not have toon monsters.
I think keeping Pegasus alive is the best change the anime made. He's such a fun character. Although it would have been nice if they had given some closure with Cecelia, maybe Atem could have used the Millennium items to let Pegasus see her one last time in a vision or something.
As you predicted, since this video came out ‘Illusionist Faceless Mage’ has received a retrain: ‘Illusionist Faceless Magician’. It plays heavily into the Eyes Restrict/Relinquished archetype, so very on brand for Pegasus
I'd be keen to see group ones. Like Top 10 Rare Hunters or Shadow Riders cards. Characters that might not have enough for individual videos, but still have something worth talking about.
9:48 Idea for a Dragon Capture Jar retrain: Spirit of the Capture Jar Continuous Trap EFFECT: You can special summon this card as a level 4 Illusion monster with 0 atk/ 0 def. (It is still a trap) When you do, target a monster your opponent controls OR any number of Dragon monsters your opponent controls; equip them to this card as a Continuous Spell with “equipped creature gains Def equal to this cards Def.” If this monster would be destroyed, you can destroy one card equipped to this card instead.
I really like toon monsters, and the anime definitely played a part in that… lol. I remember watching the show as a kid and being surprised by the existence of toon monsters. It was not at all what I expected from Pegasus. Given the fact that he trapped Yugi’s grandpa’s soul in a card, I expected his deck to be much more… Idk, “dark” in theme? Like, I expected horrific-looking monsters, and to be fair I did eventually get that in his duel with Yugi with his Relinquished and 1K Eyes Restrict. I just didn’t expect him to playfully mess with Kaiba the way he did haha. Another reason I liked toons as an archetype is that they felt busted af when I first played with them. The reason for this was twofold. I was living in Ecuador at the time and the card game was gaining traction but it wasn’t quite THAT popular yet. This is to say, the card selection was variable. Kids in my school had either the Yugi or Kaiba starter decks and a few supplemental cards from booster packs if they ever managed to get their hands on it. I remember seeing the Starter Decks Pegasus and Joey at a local toy store. I immediately begged my mom to get it for me lol. I think I must’ve been one of the few first to get the deck in school because the kids I played with were actually surprised to see that cards such as Blue Eyes Toon Dragon and Relinquished actually existed in the TCG. Mind you, this was also in a time when social media and the internet as a whole wasn’t quite AS prolific as it is nowadays, so kids in a third world country wouldn’t exactly have been following up on TCG releases. Anyways, the toon cards felt strong back then. The idea of just completely bypassing the opponent and attacking their life points directly felt OP. I think that, the more time passed, the more it was proven that the archetype wasn’t “all that.” It has received some support but I wouldn’t consider it to be all that strong. Suffice to say my perception of it has changed since I was a 13-year-old kid haha. All that said, I still very much like the archetype. I like the idea of taking scary or regal-looking monsters and cartoonifying them. I do hope it gets some more support in the future. If you stuck around, apologies for the lengthy read!
One of my favourite Toon strats is to bring out boss monsters Toons aren't supposed to bring out. Rescue Rabbit & Toon Alligator to go into Bahumat and Toad. Ready Fusion with Cyber-Alligator with Toon Cyber Dragon to get to Infinity. Toon DMG & Toon REBD for any of the Rank 7s. It's not the best or most consistent, but always fun.
Pegasus needs way more tune cards that slowly grow with time. Imagine if we had a toon junk Synchron, toon black rose dragon, toon, odd eyes, rebellion, dragon.
You know I know that Bandit Keith is an asshole, but still what Pegasus did to him was downright cruel. Humiliating him on live television is just disgusting! What do you think?
Relinquished and Thousand Eyes Restrict are my favorite cards used by Pegasus. Toons are cool too but the dark and unsettling looking monsters since the aforementioned ones brought a whole new vibe in the anime.
Nobody talks about this but I love how Pegasus also canonically wanted that kid to have fun and that’s half the reason he called him to flying elephant Kieth
24:40 It may not have been much in the tcg, but anyone who played Duel Links during it's first year of release probably still has nightmares about this card. lol
If were talking about og yugioh duel monsters only then it would be cool to see you do a video on either Bandit Keith Or Mokuba Kaiba And if were talking about past og duel monsters it would be cool to see you do a video on Jaiden Yuki!
I built a deck full of monsters with less than 500 ATK, a throwback to that one stipulation that was forced on Chazz that one time, and, actually mostly as a nod to the fact you see one in the well where they found all those "weak" monsters (even though Cyber Dragon was there as well...), I included Relinquished, also due to how potentially terrifying it can be! A more modern version features Anima as well! Also, you mispronounced Jean Louis Bonapart's name! It's "jawn" "loo-e"! It is French and I happen to know someone called Jean as well who was good mates with my late brother, they played chess, though, he goes by Jay, so I know! He's in a rap group called "Sons of Liberty", my mate and 'r'Bernie got a shoutout on one of their albums and I used some of their music in my videos a while back! (He's the one with the Leeds accent!)
Remember be careful with electric devices as they could be harmful and or lethal to you and or other people and or start a fire. Also remember to say safe.
Faceless mage does have a retrain as an eyes restrict support monster, although it doesn’t reference anything from the anime. Curious if a new one will come out as an Illusionist monster and what it’ll do
3:46 Sadly in manga, Pegasus never got a chance to manage his Industrial Illusion Corp after duelist kingdom arc because he died horribly in Bakura's hand
After each Series of This. For each generation you do a top 10 on who would be the strongest character with modern archetype support. For example Top 10 strongest decks of the anime with modern support i.e og yugioh. Then another vid for GX, 5D's, Zexal etc..
My favorite part about Comic Hand is that it's throwing up the shocker. It makes it extra disrespectful when you steal your opponent's monster and give them the shocker at the same time. 😂
I love these anime videos, but i think we are done with DM and Pegasus is the perfect bridge to GX. Also i would love to see new toon cards for more modern cards. Like toon Borrelsword, toon Barone and toon Zeus.
love the video as always, but just a bit of constructive criticism: You might consider slowing down as you read your script, as some of your words are mispronounced (dragon capture gar was heard, Solemn Muto instead of Solomon, etc.) which might be fixed by just reading slowly and more clearly.
Love this series. I’ve actually gotten back into playing yugioh because of it. Just online but still. Pendulum was where I quit along time ago and link monsters when I heard about them made me even more annoyed. However, since I’ve started playing again I really like the concept of having to watch where you actually place monsters in your zones because of link summons. I still wish games would play out more like GOAT format but I can appreciate it a bit more. Don’t shit on me y’all I started playing when LOTBE and the OG structure decks were released. Third placed a regional with Magical scientist OTK and top 8 a regional with Dark armed dragon toolbox and then a black wing deck. I’m just a traditionalist 😅
Comic Hand is hilarious because in combination with Toon Kingdom, it becomes Snatch Steal on steroids, giving the monster it steals battle immunity, destruction immunity, and immunity from targeting. any time i have fun with a gimmicky toon going-second deck on MD, it's because of comic hand.
Fun Fact: In the manga, Pegasus is dead. Bakura killed him for his eye, where in the anime he barely survived. Duel Links even reference this inconsistency.
Fan fact: He died in the manga which lead to the events of the “Yu-Gi-Oh R” manga story. That also why there no reference to him in the “Dark Side” Movie, cause that was a continuation of the Manga. He made a cameo in the “Beyond Time” Movie cause that was crossover of the anime’s. Yugioh canon is more complicated than a Christopher Nolan Film.

There was also Ishizu/Gravekeeper support at the end of 2022. It focused on Exchange of the Spirit and Necrovalley (i think). However they normally just got used with Tear. Which is why the tier 0 format was called "Ishizu Tear" (all 4 Ishizu support are currently limited)
Mught not be the exact support you hoped for but if you play tcg or Master Duel they'll be here eventually
@@fireblossom9618 HOW have these not crossed over yet?? How, how, HOW?!?
@@fireblossom9618 I’m master 2 in master duel. And I meant support for the OG grave keepers to make it a playable control deck. Would be sick. Just need some good fusion cards and a few solid support cards.
One thing to mention is that Toon World actually had an effect in its first OCG print, which made you pay life points and recover all the pays if destroyed. Obviously this could become confusing so they made it effectless.
Should just make it so if toon world is removed from field you gain 1000 lp, its that simple

Can we also mention that Crush Card Virus shouldn't have been allowed to infect Dragon Piper since Piper is a FIRE attribute
Since Konami introduced the new Illusionist type, I hope they bring out more support for Pegasus' decks (especially Toons).
Edit: and also retrain 'older' cards like Toon Alligator and Parrot Dragon into actual, useful Toon cards.
Me too because toons is actually fun to play when it works especially after toon bls got released
I guess that's one way to read it.
I wonder what Takahashi thought about GX and the other sequels/spin-offs.
@@xCorvus7x
I would have loved to have known. :(
Probably wouldn’t say anything bad about them. I’m sure he was grateful to have gotten his big break, but I know as somebody who has many creative hobbies that it’s an awful feeling being pigeonholed into a certain thing and feeling like you can’t create the stuff you want to create.
@@hctaz Probably, if he had bad things to say, he's likely too polite to say them, and after all he was also involved in Dark Side of Dimensions.
Another reason to read the Manga on top of watching anime

They should include his cards from R toon then.

5:36 Well the self-protection effect is based off of the card’s text, leaping up and down and all around and stuff so nobody lays a hand on it.
As for the effects for when “Toon World” is out on the field: The first one lets you summon the card since physics doesn’t really stick around in the presence of old-timely cartoons (Although maybe I should make it so if it revives from the GY it becomes a zombie, which would be it coming back as a cartoon ghost if this were then anime.)
The second one gives you an excuse to run Relinquished and Eyes-Restrict in a “Toon” deck without mucking either up.

Yay was waiting for this. Plus we need to find Pegasus. Luffy stole Toon World. (Gear 5)
I think keeping Pegasus alive is the best change the anime made. He's such a fun character. Although it would have been nice if they had given some closure with Cecelia, maybe Atem could have used the Millennium items to let Pegasus see her one last time in a vision or something.

26:00 HES SO COOL AND MISTERIOUS

I do love Relinquished!! Cause it'll "borrow" your opponent's monster for a turn or 2 until you find another power house

You might consider slowing down as you read your script, as some of your words are mispronounced (dragon capture gar was heard, Solemn Muto instead of Solomon, etc.) which might be fixed by just reading slowly and more clearly.
16:39 Ah yes the Chimera fusion, the 2000000-Type monster
"released from the eye's control" you mean his eye was released from his control 💀
From his skull
Duellogs i think you missed that illusionist faceless mage did get a retrain that works with relinquished in illusionist faceless magician
I wish it had English subtitles to understand better
Love the video btw
Fun Fact: In the manga, Pegasus is dead. Bakura killed him for his eye, where in the anime he barely survived. Duel Links even reference this inconsistency.
Fan fact:
He died in the manga which lead to the events of the “Yu-Gi-Oh R” manga story. That also why there no reference to him in the “Dark Side” Movie, cause that was a continuation of the Manga. He made a cameo in the “Beyond Time” Movie cause that was crossover of the anime’s.
Yugioh canon is more complicated than a Christopher Nolan Film.
The cool and mysterious drop at the end of the video lmao
